Devil's appearance in WT literature (page 2)

I agree with Minimus that there have been plenty of pics depicting the devil. Remember the one where he's tempting Jesus offering him all the kingdoms of the world? And in the old You Can Live Forever in Paradise, there were some it seems. No offense, but "yawn."

I've noticed that WT illustrators, like medieval artists, always portray the devil as left-handed. What does the Watchtower have against Southpaws?

FD, I don't know how one determines if a person is left-handed from a picture, but I do know that the word "sinister" means left-handed.

I remember a brother that used to espouse the view that Jesus had to be right handed. I always felt he must have been ambidextrous.

Whenever the devil is showing gesturing, it's with his left hand. Jesus is always shown using his right hand.

Well that would be following the Bible itself, as the right hand is depicted as a favorable position and the left is condemnation, I think.

Reportedly, left-handers even have a shorter lifespan because of this kind of widespread subtle discrimination against them.

don't yawn just yet. The picture you refer to in the Live Forever book on page 17 only shows a hand. It doesn't depict Satan the Devil in the entire human form. Other pictures in this same book depict only fallen angels, not Satan. In the Revelation Climax book Satan is depicted as a Dragon on pages 181-184 & 231, 288-292 but again not in human form. I would really like it if anyone can point out Satan the Devil in human form in WTS literature (and not just a human hand).

You might also be referring to the Live Forever book on page 17. The hand is admittedly that of Satan, the man in human form is Jesus.
