Hey everyone....Just letting you know Tink will be having her surgery finally at 7:00am tomorrow morning (9-26). They originally said they could not do it till 10-3....but we got that changed right quick...Tink broke RED on them...(Southern term for kickin some ass)...She's holding her own considering the time she has been in constant pain....never complained once....Everything should go fine and she'll be home some time on Friday...The doctor that is doing the surgery keeps his patients overnight even with orthoscopic surgery...I'll let ya'll know tomorrow how she's doing...I got it under control..I'm taking the rest of the week off to be with her. You all are the best!!!

CC, she'll be fine. I had my gallbladder taken out when Nikki was three months old. I was up and walking a few hours after surgery. The only thing I hated was the morphine they gave me for pain after. I can't stand any drug that makes my head swim. I couldn't see straight and asked them not to give me anymore.

The doctor had told us to be prepared that he may need to do open surgery because one of the stones has lodged in the bile duct. He said it was only a slight chance, I'm not worried, she's doing fine and is ready to get it over with. Thanks Lilacs.

    Hi CC and Tink,

Tink, you will be in my prayers for an easy and successful surgery tomorrow! Are they doing orthoscopy or laproscopy?? If it's laproscopy, heck she'll come home with a band-aid. I ditto Lilacs about the morphine, except it's not the high that bugged me but the nausea. If she has to contend with that ask the doc for compozine and her nausea will be relieved. Darvocet worked better for me, no bad side effects. TINK, just rest when you get home and don't be like I was....lol...I went to the grocery store! It's so great that they can do this surgery on out-patient basis now. My mom was in the hospital for a week after the primitive sugery. Your stiches will probably even be the disolvable kind. CC, you seem like a sweet and very supportive husband and I'm happy for that! My husband is a treasure too bit he sure cannot cook. In case your like him.....then you better get to a mac machine and make a big withdrawl for the take-out! My best to both of you and Tink.........I'll say a special prayer just for you. ((((((((((TINK and CC))))))))))))) love, dj
