    Taylor,

sorry to have wasted your time, i wont be back

Why do you feel this way? People involved in a religion will always give you the best spin possible. On this site, you get experiences from people who have been there, done that. It would be wise on your part to listen to them.

    pincushion,

Do you think everyone on this site is completely against JW's? Not even a small piece of doubt?

If you are careful buying a car or a house, then you should be VERY careful giving away your freedom and mental health to a cult. It seems the JW doctrine has a knack for destroying families relationships in general.

    Hi, Undisfellowshipped!

Great work. But could you clarify your references for the post - 1975 "prophecies " please.

The JW's believe Armageddon is coming "very soon" (they've been saying this for 130 years, plus they have had NUMEROUS false prophecies, such as Armageddon coming in 1874, 1914, 1918, 1925, World War II, 1975, 1984, 1994, 2000), and that ALL non-JW's will be DESTROYED

    Kind regards,

    SpannerintheWorks.

Hey new guy, actually this site is the best site to get info on. If you want to find about TRUE beliefs go to the sites that dont white wash things. JWs will not tell you about the %!!!%# things they believe!! Mormons wont either! Go to every ex-momon/JW/Catholic/budist/whatever and find out the TRUTH. People here are more honest than any of the JWs you have met (acutally, what I should say is that they are not brain-washed and can give you an honest oppinion, not one flushed out of some guys ass into their brain).

Crazy, isn't it great to be allowed to be honest, like you say ? Instead of thinking " what has the WT told me to say ?"

I hate the bastards (the leaders, that is, not little JW's as individuals.)

    Hi SpannerintheWorks!

Here are the references for the following Armageddon Prediction Dates:

1984 -- Because the Watchtower Society at one time said that "A Generation" lasts 70 years, and 1914 + 70 years is 1984

1994 -- Because the Watchtower Society at one time said that "A Generation" lasts 80 years, and 1914 + 80 years is 1994

2000 -- Below is a Quote about this one.

The Watchtower January 1st 1989 Issue, Page 12:

"The apostle Paul was spearheading the Christian missionary activity. He was also laying a foundation for a work that would be completed in our 20th century,".

HOWEVER, in the Bound Volume Reprint, they CHANGED IT TO SAY:

"...a work that would be completed in our day,"

They did not even include a Footnote to mention that they changed it either.

    Dear Taylor,

jehovas-witness.com : an anti JW community. hmm. perhaps i should try antijehovas-witness.com then

Yeah, it gets confusing, doesn't it?

I think the best way to keep it straight is to remember that the Apostates JWs or ex-Jehovah's Witnesses are witnesses to the corruption of Jehovah's organization. Many of them were witnesses to their own sexual abuse as children. They courageously speak out to the media in marches and demonstrations like the one that took place in Brooklyn today.

We expect that the people who claim to be Jehovah's Witnesses will soon be changing their name to Jehovah's Bystanders because they just stand around waiting for Jehovah to take care of things in his own due time.

This is an Anti-Jw site so you won't find many here still in that faith.

I don't think I agree with the first part of this statement. The graphic at the top of every page says that "everyone is welcome." This isn't an anti-JW board. It's just populated by about, oh, 95% ex-Witnesses or Witnesses on the way out. To the original poster, do read around and do a site search on your most pressing topics.

The Society represents "apostates" are unreasonable, irrational less-than-people, but that's hardly the case. Yes, you will find some negative emotions pointed at the Society, but only because of what the Society did to them or to someone they love. Whatever the case, and however it's presented, look at the facts. Those are what is most important.

They worship Jehovah as the only true God

I have a really big question for you.

You say that Jehovah (the Father) is the ONLY TRUE GOD, which must mean that ALL other gods are not true gods.

It says in the Bible that ALL Gods other than the TRUE GOD will be destroyed.

The Bible also says that ALL gods that did not create the Heavens and the Earth will be destroyed.

    Now, my question is:

    What about Jesus Christ?

The Watchtower says Jesus is "a god" and "a Mighty God" and "the only-begotten god".

Is Jesus Christ a TRUE GOD or a FALSE GOD?

If He is a "TRUE GOD", then does that mean that there is more than one TRUE GOD?

If He is NOT a TRUE GOD, then He is going to be Destroyed by Jehovah!

I'd love to hear anyone's reply to this.
