Hello,
Former JW..new on the board and glad to see it so active. The latest round of "New Light" in the recent KM has reversed the rules and once again my family has been told to shun me.
I DA'd in my early 20's after being very active since childhood and have been out of the "borg" now for nearly 18 years.
I look forward to reading and posting as I get more familiar with the names here.

It's been about that long for me too. Just found out it was a crock-o-crap though. (About a year and a half.) I was so brainwashed for soo long. Oh well, not anymore. Happy you are here. Can't wait to hear your story.

The KM did "tighten the screws" a bit on contact between current JW's and those in DA-DF status. They just love that control, no matter the harm to families. My dad ( a JW elder ) has informed his 90-year old mother (an inactive JW) that she is to shun my sister and me. Before that, we would go over and just talk about old times & family stuff, but not about theology or the Bible. Everything was fine. And then along came this killer August KM.
So you're not alone. I hope you will like it here, and look forward to hearing your thoughts on other various topics.
