When my relatives called Bethel a few months ago to ask about their Pedophile Policy, the Bethelite on the Phone told them:
1. They must have 2 Eye-Witnesses, or else they will not do anything about the accused Pedophile.
2. If the victim, or the victim's parents try to warn anyone else in the Congregation, they could be Disfellowshipped for Slander against an "innocent man".
There may be another senario here.
The legal dept had plenty of time to prepare for this march. They may have already had some sort of list of possible attendee's.
That being the case, it might help explain the fact that they opened the door's to the reporter's, only to have them exit with little if any fanfare...it appeared whatever was presented to them, there in the lobby, put the screws to any significant airing of this march.
Could they(legal beagles) have provided documentation regarding this very accusation against TJ? They may have turned over sensitive materials revealing results of past investigations of this matter.
Something went on in that lobby that spooked the reporter's.

I had not yet thought of that, DannyBear, that is a good scenario.
Also, the big shots at Bethel could also be Freemasons, which might explain why the Media is reluctant to publish anything, since the majority of the Media is controlled by Freemasons.

DB, I understand how you feel.
I don't go around and talk about Freemasons everywhere.
However, I have done a lot of research into the Freemasons, and their connections througout the different Religions and Corporations in the USA, and I think you would be surprised to find out just how many people are Freemasons.
And, just to clarify, when I say Freemasons, I'm not talking about your average "rank-and-file" Freemason, I am talking about the Elite Freemasons (for example, several U.S. Presidents, and other very important Government Officials have been and are Freemasons).
In my research I found out that 1 out of every 6 men are Freemasons (if not more).
Plus, if you do some research, you will find that Charles Taze Russell definitely had quite a bit of knowledge about Freemasonry, and from what I have learned, it seems that he was a Freemason.
I would never have believed all this about Freemasons, had I not had personal experiences dealing with some Freemasons (some of which are my relatives).

Re: the media being "spooked" by their visit inside the Gated Compound... well, it did make the local NY news that night (WB #11 and UNI), and I heard from two sources it was on CNN earlier in the day. I also heard the newspaper, the Brooklyn Journal did a write up (I tried to find their website, but it did not come up in the search engine I used). - ????

Yes, I have heard at least 3 or 4 people on this Board say they saw it on CNN also. One person even said they thought they saw Bill Bowen at the March on CNN.
I think the Media will start reporting on this.
Once one News Station covers it, I think the others will also want to cover it.
Just think though, this is pretty remarkable, how fast the Media has reported on the JW's pedophile scandal, compared to the Catholics.
I think I heard someone say that it took like 20 years for the Catholic Scandal to really be covered by the Media.

Someone was Bull Sh!ting you. I still cannot even confirm it was on msnbc as someone had suggested.
I only know of it being on the superstation (Channel 11) in NY and UNI and a couple of Radio stations and a Canadian crew.

All of this talk like somehow JW's are bound to follow their stated procedures and that all JW's are treated equally is plain looney and we all know it. Rules are frequently bent for prominent JW's and not all are treated equally. I understand the point attempting to be made but from the perspective of JW's the person making these allegations is a complete crackpot.
The allegations are so extreme that they will not give credence to them by even considering a JC. The reality is such allegations against such persons are dismissed immediately without consideration. The burden of proof rests entirely with this woman and if she cannot substaciate her claims then she may be forced to stop making these extremely damaging comments.
