I wouldn't outlaw the 'hovahs, but I would do this:

    1) Confiscate then evacuate Brooklyn Bethel, and send a few "bunker busters" into the board room. After the land was cleared and sold, the assets would be held in trust for the victims they created.

    2) Confiscate Patterson facility and the Stanley Theatre, as well as all WT held properties, sell them, add monies to trust fund.

    3) Sieze all assets of all thirty eleven WT corporations, adding monies to trust fund.

    4) Hand all 'hovah bigwigs one-way tickets to Southern East Kazakistanisville, with a one time $90.00 check.

Full disclosure requirementsof :their mehods, techniques and expectations.

Absolutely! All religions should be required to be up-front about what is expected and required to be in good standing. And maybe have a "consumer's review" type of service so that anyone can get an objective opinion/run-down of whatever religion they are interested in.

I would also would LOVE to take away their tax exempt status.

But I would not ban them. I believe freedom of speech, etc. is very important and not to be limited except in extreme circumstances.

I do believe that critical thinking skills should be taught to kids starting at very young age.

wouldn't we be regressing if we did that? hmmm. did they take down the iron curtin or not

I would be really pissed if I was told I would be arrested for being religious. Hitler did that. No I don't want to be like that. I like having the right to chose for myself.

Certainly not! Using the police power of the state has a nasty habit of boomerranging on the user. Look what happened with the early Christians when the Roman emporers tried to outlaw them.

Jehovah's Witnesses can not be outlawed.

Their activities can be, such as the meetings and ministry.

But we will find other ways to do them.

I wouldn't outlaw them, however I would make it illegal to not report child abuse in all states, with long prison sentences if you fail to report. Require them to turn over they're database of known pedophiles and make that public, including making it privy to all congregation members. Require them to pay the bethelites federal minimum wages, or state minimum wages. Pay they're clergy the same. Outlaw shunning of family members, (This would fall under abuse, especially stringent when it comes to minors). If it's shown they are making a profit off of they're litature, require them to pay taxes.

Jehovah's Witnesses get a kick out of being persecuted. If they were restricted, they would see it as fulfilling prophecy. I think it would cause an increase, especially if the door-to-door work is banned.

No, banning them would be counterproductive!

Interesting...So much negative has come to people because of being JW's and yet no one would outlaw them if they could.....You are very reasonable people!

An enemy in plain sight is a lot easier to fight than an enemy who is hidden

No way should they be banned

Hope all you JWs out there are reading this thread.

No way should they be banned

Wouldn't want to be accused of fulfilling one of their phrophesies
