Thoughtful post! I don't always keep quiet, but I am more judicious on what I say and when. When I started, I had no idea how entrenched the WT mindset is, or how hard it is to dislodge. After much reflection, and a few failed attempts to turn my honey around, my goal is clear. I do not want to rile my honey for entertainment's sake, which is darn easy to do. I want to nudge my honey in the right direction. I want him to think for himself. I want to plant seeds of doubt, while keeping his esteem intact.

"Change begets change. Nothing propagates so fast. If a man habituated to a narrow circle of cares and pleasures, out of which he seldom travels, step beyond it, though for never so brief a space, his departure from the monotonous scene on which he has been an actor of importance would seem to be the signal for instant confusion. . . . The mine which Time has slowly dug beneath familiar objects is sprung in an instant; and what was rock before, becomes but sand and dust."
    Charles Dickens

    imho...don't stop throwing those pebbles.

    Pharisee:

I just want to say amen to:

I think the best pebble's you can throw is by succeding in your personal and/or family life without the borg. They expect you to completly fall apart without their guidance, and when you show that you are stable without them it starts to put doubts in their minds.

Well said...you imitate my sentiments EXACTLY!! No truer words were spoken...thank you.

ps..do you have fringes on the hems of your garments?

When you do this, it is like setting a piece a dynamite at the boulders base. When it blows the boulder roles away nicely, or blows into so many pieces. It does not matter any more.

    Thanks for the added thought

Yes, and sometimes the boulder has a huge portion hidden under ground, like seeing the tip of an iceberg. My brother seems to be firmly entrenched, yet he sees that I'm not a foaming -at-the-mouth apostate, so he and his family will associate with me from time to time, even welcoming me at their son's wedding last Feb.
