    The Moron commercials are those "touchy-feely" family oriented ones. They have absolutely nothing to do with anything, other than "family time".

    Oh, there's another one where a young lady ponders thoughts about the lord while gazing out at the ocean, how the father has a plan and crap like that. Then of course come the offer of a free book of moron.

    Did anyone see the WTBTS commercial that aired? My mom called me about it, at first she thought it was a Mormon commercial, but then realized they were using scriptures. I think it must have only aired once... I've never seen it. I believe they have it on their official website.

    Men don't need religion.

    Men need God.

    Religion is false.

    God is true.

    Eternal life.

    Is dependent on Two. (John 17:3)

    Dinosaur eats men

    Women inherit the earth

    I am still waiting to see that commercial the WT did. I saw the video but havent seen it on TV yet.

    And Now I do remember those Mormon commercials. They start out like one of those sales pitches for "Love songs from the past" or something. They always get me on that. geesh.

    Thanks for all the links!

    I had completely forgotten about this thread...for some reason

    A coworker/friend gave me the Book of Mormon one year as a Christmas present. I (unwisely) promised him I'd read it. I got a few chapters into it and promptly broke the promise. No offense, but the Book of Mormon is a huge load of delusional crap.

    PEOPLE.....the morman kid's posting that is pushing everyone's button is 16 years old.... HELLLOOOOOO ... There's a Morman who comes to this board name Susan that I'm sure can refute what this "kid" had to say .... besides,

    if you're not JW, you're going to sleep and not wake up;

    if you're not Catholic, you're going to spend eternity in perdition;

    if you're not Born-again, you're going to hell;

    if you're not Muslim, it's worse than death...you're an infidel;

    If you're not (fill in the blank) you have no chance for anything beyond this life;

    I don't believe for a second this kid knows what he's talking about, and even if he did is he different than any other religious zealot?

    DoubleEdge ,

    It wasn't the fact that it came from a 16 year old as much as it was the idea that someone at the ripe old age of 16 would believe that, and SO INTENSLY, that I find sad. The beliefs that this mere 16 year old shared and the expression of anger, I could almost vision a child with angry red eyes pointing at non-Mormons as just idiots that are going to burn in hell

    She didn't get that way all by herself. There were adults supervising this behavior somewhere.

    Of all the religions how many believe this way?

    Not ALL religions practice this teaching, not that one's who don't are any better, but who started it in the first place?

    TR,

    You're having WAY TOO MUCH FUN with that head-up-the-anus picture tonight!

    But I must admit, it seems to apply to a lot of religious air-headed thinking that's out there these days.
