I think it's another one of our insane American citizens that is the sniper.
But it doesn't matter who is doing it, they are still a terrorist.

The thought that these killings could be terrorist related came to me last week. What better way to inspire fear into people than random shootings at ordinary people for no apparent reason? How helpless does it make the authorities feel, in that they can't protect ordinary citizens?
I certainly hope this sniper is caught soon, before any one else is hurt or killed.

Excellent interpretation / extrapolation of the facts, Sentinel.
It's interesting what ideas that can come to mind when the facts are all laid out on the table. One would think that people in the right places in the D.C. area who are trained and experienced in these things have seen what you were able to decipher.
This is the second weekend since the outbreak that there has been no shooting. How does that figure into the equation of who the killer(s) might be? Scary stuff.

Thanks for the compliment. I wish I could figure the whole thing out, and call them and tell them where to look. Wouldn't that be great!
Still, at least in thinking about it, and reasoning, and sharing information, ideas and scenarios, perhaps someone, somewhere will remember something that is critical to catching him. Stranger things have happened.
We all need to stay alert, and not forget simply because the killings slow down, or even stop. Someone able to kill so many times must be very proud by now. Usually that type of person just can't manage to keep their mouths shut.
Maybe they will catch the person doing something else illegal, something much more minor, and then the truth will come out. Lots of serial killers have been caught for traffic violations, or have gone off to jail for other lessor offenses, and blabbed to other inmates.

Oh, Noooooooooo,
Another innocent person, vatality #9, has just been confirmed. Killed in the lower parking deck of the Home Depot in Arllington, VA, last night.
Location: Shopping Mall, containing a Michael's Store, near an interstate connection. Fairfax County jurisdiction
Note the time of the killing: 9:15PM
Note the gender: A 47 yr old female
Differences: Victim was not alone; protected area from three sides of parking deck.
Witnesses: Look for light/cream colored Chevy Astro Van, with silver ladder rack on top, and burned out left rear tail light. Partial MD tag number remembered, and two occupants.
If anyone in the area of Maryland, DC, and Virginia has any clues, please call the authorities right away.
