thank you richard for the link. Pluto has 5 moons, and moons are thought to catch the incoming missiles. Our own moon has caught more bodies coming on from the outside, and has more craters on the far outer side to prove it. and: Some thought the Moon is only for lunatics and lovers.

Ok, so I have a question which has been on my mind for a while.

Why is it that all the other planets' moons have coolio names but ours is simply 'The Moon'.

Can we not come up with an awesomely cool name for our own natural satellite? Sheesh!

How about using lunar deities, such as the Greek goddesses Artemis, Selene (Phoebe is already in use as one of Saturn's moons)?

    Any other ideas?

yeah, that would be great, the 5 Artemises of Pluto -- like "Charon Artemis"-- "Styx Artemis" like a proper name we have, first name and family name. An idea from "Heaven", a ticket to fame.

Talking of PLUTO, our awesome understanding of it's standing:

If you divide the outer point of PLUTO's orbit and Saturn's path into 4 exact (+- 2%) portion, you would find Uranus, Neptune, Pluto's inner, Pluto's mean and Pluto's aphelion neatly lined up. Coincident? No, a consequence of the natural laws, and an essential for the aligned resonances that ensure our presence.

Now for that heart-shaped, candy-textured feature on Pluto --- for "ST Valentine's plain" --- anyone?

I wish we have technology that would allows us to investigate space beyond the solar system like Oort clouds that would tells us more about origin of our Sun and Earth. Unfortunately by the time the satellites reach Kuiper belt, the communication with Earth is not possible as the batteries and power in them is too weak or depleted. New Horizon is would provide interesting information on Kuiper belt all the way till 2030 or so. If any new satellite are launched to investigate the edges of our solar system, by the time it reaches, we will not be alive to see it.

Unfortunately by the time the satellites reach Kuiper belt,These tnos. periodically come into our neighbourhood, called "comets" and Europe i has just landed on one and trying to figure out what's up, sinkholes and all. Let us find out how it was all done.

Prologos and KaiKin give us time. We will do it. To an old guy like me it just seems like yesterday before we even had knowledge of planets outside our solar system. Things like Halley's comet were looked upon as superstitious lore. May you live long and prosper.

talking about cool names, when herr Schell discovered Uranus, cirka 1781, he wanted to name it "GEORGE" Can you take seriously a planet name "George"? you would have us over a barrel, and Uranus rotates like a barrel.
