    about yourself...

My PC is in my bedroom. I do, in fact, have a PC in each room connected by a LAN, but this is my PC and this is my very comfortable corner where I like to chill out, play mutliplayer games over ther internet, and of course post numerous fluff posts at JWD. Just by me is a window which, until last week, looked out on some beautiful trees. Even though I live in an urban area in a large town, it is full of trees and it almost looked like a forest outside, that is until they were all cut down last week. I'm not too happy about this, or the 3 story block of flats which is going up in their place. The council say I should have appealed at the time of the planning application. They put signs up around the neighbourhood for 19 days warning of the development. Although I read the signs, I did not realise the planning application was with regard to the space behind my house, nor did I realise they took these signs down and replaced them twice with further planning applications, parts of the same development.

Anyone care to add whats going on in your life at the moment outside of JWD?

we had bought in 99 a lot with a corn field behind it all. knowing that in time it would be developed into single family lots with a man made lake. I planted over 50 trees on our lot, so in time I will have my own forest to block out those houses. I still feel fortunate in that the back of the lots are not back to back. we have 60 feet of space in-between with nothing in the corner for the entire lay out so I may still have a view of that lake, until the trees grow up. and we're up higher.

p.s. I hate it when trees get cut down.

I hunt for grasshoppers to feed our pet lizard

I bake great king-sized chocolate-chip cookies for my son's lunchbox

I took the long way home to avoid a confrontation
only to run into the person I was avoiding anyway.
She had taken the same route as I to avoid me

I do sketches of my children

I took pictures of my son catching falling autumn leaves

I love sushi but can't find any close to home

I made guitars for my kids out of wood scraps, cardboard and fishing line

I used to have a piece of brain in my freezer. A colleague of mine was driving past a rather ghastly accident several years ago and noticed little pieces of brain on the side...he relayed this to me and I didn't believe him. Well I've lost bigger bets, however I did get to keep the brain that he brought back as evidence. It resided in my freezer until I sufficiently pissed of the significant other to the point of losing one's mind...eh pun intended..

    Sincerely,

Holy F#%k Valis!!! When my husky killed skunk # 1 last summer (he is up to 3 now). It was a Sunday morning and the animal hospital was closed and I wanted to check the skunk for rabies. I did the next best think and cut off the skunks head and placed it in a zip lock bag, then placed that in a paper lunch bag. Later that day my wife was going through the frig and guess what she found! It took a while for me to explain that one. By the way, I get a kick out of that pic of yours.

Whats new with me at this time? It's raining here and my husky is chasing our 2 cats around the house. I am sitting back with my right foot is in the air re-cupping from my motorcycle accident this past summer. Will have surgery again in 2 weeks to remove 2 of the 4 screws in my ankle so that I can put full pressure on my foot again and toss the crutches. Maybe I will mail the screws to Valis as a gift. Ha! Ha! I have been re-reading all my "Harry Potter" books in anticipation for the new book to be released soon and counting the days for the new movie to come out next month. Other than that, just a boring Saturday.

wow, the brain thing....well, what can I say? I had NO idea there were people like you Valis.

I have a PC in the little area next to my bedroom too, used to be a nursery now it is a tiny office.

All the trees are gold and red here in Montana. Looks great really. I am making a cake for my daughters birthday this week. It is tiered like a wedding cake but I spray painted the stilts metallic gold. The cake is going to be frosted in black with jack o lanterns all over it and the very top of it will have 12 long orange tapers. Sounds fun eh. Then friday we are taking her to see the production of Bizets Carmen. I love birthdays now, especially when they are flavored with a pagan holiday!
