What is the sign of Christ's invisible presence? That's easy, his invisibility.
Hell who can deny that.

Uncantone, help me out on this one. What do you mean? Not being rhetorical. Kindly state your argument.
When I was baptised I understood the 'sign' as
'the act of God's Son in receiving authority from his Sovereign Father to rule in an everlasting kingdom. This event brought the establishment or "birth of his kingly rule.
The primary part of the composite sign being the preaching. Gathering the anointed and other sheep. Isaiah 11:10-13 and the apostle Paul showed this having fulfilment in his day with the gentiles Romans 15. In Isaiah the word is signal or standard with the idea of gathering. This gathering to the mountain of Jehovah results in the spiritual paradise (i think)
The Watchtower has on it's cover 'Announcing Jehovah's Kingdom' In 1879 C T Russell published Zion's Watch Tower and Herald of Christ's Presence and the virgin class went forward to meet the heavenly Bridegroom in 1874 believing him to be present.
The parable of the ten virgins was given as part of the answer to the question recorded at Matt. 24:3 (God's Kingdom of a Thousand Years Has Approached, WT1973 pg205)
In 1914 they expected to meet the Bridegroom in heaven at the end of the Gentile times. !874 was arrived at by the 6000 years chronology. This was moved in the 1940's to the mid seventies. When Armageddon was expected and again they would have expected to meet the Bridgroom. Both times the virgins were in error in my opinion. Also in my opinion this would nullify the preaching as any sign.

So the sign was invisible and his presence is invisible..
If a million people say a foolish thing, it is still a foolish thing.

The JWS proclaimed Christ's invisible presence by virtue of world current events ( signs of the end times )
Although they missed the fact that those supposed end time signs were prevalent at the time those scriptures were written. Why is that ?
Because JWs are notoriously poorly educated particularity on topics concerning ancient history.
The WTS had one particular thing they focused upon and that was alluring attention to the literature it published, thats why they never had strongly supportive backing from the bible itself.

One of the signs of his invisible "parousia" was the "conclusion of the system of things," meaning the end of the "appointed times of the nations," which is also referred to as the "end of the gentile times." The appointed times of the nations as referred to in Luke shows Jerusalem being destroyed and the Jews being exiled from their homeland. So when we see the Jews returning to their homeland under their own rule, then that is when the end of the gentile times occurs and the end of the age or the "system of things" of Jewish domination by the gentiles.
The "conclusion of the system of things" of gentile rule ended on November 30, 1947. This thus was one of the "signs" of his invisible "parousia." Except the Bible says this would happen just before he arrives. Another reference is the leaves of the fig tree growing tender. When you saw that, then he was "near at the doors." Thus he will not yet have arrived when the State of Israel is set up in the Spring of 1947. The fig tree represented the rebirth of the Jews in their homeland and thus the State of Israel.
That's why you have to separate clearly what Christ is doing up in heaven just before he returns to the earth in the flesh. In the meantime, his arrival is very secretive and quiet, not necessarily invisible. But that's another long detailed discussion (smile). But think about it. How much of a second coming would it be if he didn't return in human form again. Christ and the dead in Christ first must come back in fleslhy bodies to rule with him 1000 years on the earth before they go up to heaven after Judgment Day.

The "conclusion of the system of things" of gentile rule ended on November 30, 1947. Oh really I didn't notice anything.
I hate to break it to you Lorenzo but there are more gentiles living in the world now that are also in power than ever before in human history. Perhaps that Scripture was written specifically for the people living in ancient times the Hebrews .
They did that you know, this is called ancient mythology.
