I'm so sorry, Stephanus. I know nothing I can say can make it feel any better, but you are in my thoughts.

Your daughter had a great set of parents. She was surrounded by people who loved her, and she loved you. And I am sure you will be reunited with her sometime, somewhere.

My thoughts will be with you all tomorrow.

The cold lump of stone may be the only physical object you have, but the cherished memories can be embraced for a lifetime.

    Dearest Steph,

I had no idea. I'm so very sorry for your loss. I remember hearing a parent, who had also experienced a loss of a child, say "You never get over it, you just learn to get used to it".

Thinking of you and your family,

    Andee

Steph...maybe you want to set up a small fund for a local charity in her name? On the anniversary of her passing you could make your donation and have good memories just like the people her fund would be helping all the while. or perhaps she had a favorite place she like to go that you could journey to in remembrance of her life and the time you had with her. Just some thoughts...so sorry for your grief.

    SIncerely,

    Oh, Stephanus ((((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))))

I do know what it feels like to lose a loved one. No matter how much time passes, it is a part of you that never goes away.

It helps me NOT to think of them in the ground that way, surrounded by cold and dark. For, they are not there...just the shell of what they used to reside in. It is my firm belief, that their soul was released to continue it's journey through death, to the next level.

Try to remember them, the good memories, laughter, smiles, hugs. For they really are not that far away at all. Often, I speak to my departed loved ones as if they are "just around the corner".

Take Care. You are in my thoughts.

    Love and Light,

    Sentinel

Stephanus - I can't begin to imagine how painful it must be on occasions like this remembering her and thinking of how things 'should be'.

I know you'll never stop thinking about her and have to try as best you can to make the good times and memories last a lifetime.

Well, the day's nearly over, and things are easing up a bit.

I'd like to thank everyone here for their kind words and suggestions. The "learn to get used to it" quote is a keeper!
