Richard Harris, 72, actor supreme, and singer not so good, has died.

This is my moment of silence and my monument for a great guy.

Isn't he the guy who sang "McArthur Park?"

Well, Dutchie, he did something to MacArthur Park, I guess you could call it singing. That was thirty year ago.

Didn't he die of cancer? Or was battling cancer?

He had Hodgkin's disease, a cancer of the lymph glands.

    Very sad.

    Hi Francois,

It's too bad he died. There was a clip of an interview with him on the news. He was a character. He was asked about his drinking days and he replied something like "I loved drinking and wouldn't trade a day of it; unfortunately my pancreas acted up."

He also said he was in Harry Potter because his granddaughter said she'd never speak to him again if he turned it down. Neat guy.

He was my favorite actor. when i was young i used to pretend he was my real father. i heard he was a great father. i loved him in camelot best, but then there was A man Called horse and even bo derek's dad in tarzan. (forgive my typos--the keybard is about to die, and the shift and space and smetimes my 'o' do not always work)
