Oh Ken,

This is such tragic news for their family. I know you hated to pass this sad news onto us, but how else would we know?

If there is an email or snail mail address where we could extend our condolences, I'd appreciate it.

Young children seen to get into all sorts of mischief at that age. They are so inquisitive and so fearless. Accidents happen, and most times, they survive. It is just always so horrible to hear when they don't. The parent never quite gets over something like this.

My heart goes out to Dana and her family.

I've been crying off and on all morning. This is truly a horrible thing to try and push aside. It's snowing and white outside. As much as I hate snow, it is calming for me. It is amazing how we come to love people we meet on the internet. Dana is such a kind and gentle soul. She is the reason I defend her religion (wicca) because it is slandered with evil words and look at the warm loving person she is!

I feel like I"ve known her for years but it's been barely a year that I met her and she has always been so devoted to her children and marriage. She is truly the epitome of motherhood. The best you could imagine. I can't even imagine the pain she must have. Right now she must be too stunned to think. All I can do is choke up.

I know what you mean, I think of Dana as a close friend and we have never even spoke on the phone. I have e-mailed her back and forth many times and shared laughs and hardships in the way friends do. I want to jump on a plane right now and be there for her, but I know I can not. Suddenly 2000 miles apart seems like a 100,000 miles. I hurt so much for her, and could never imagine what this would feel like.
