Dont recogise that John Denver song...I like him though, and the Carpenters too...
I love to sing too, my voice isn't the best but it has a lot of heart, so I sing anyway cos it makes me feel good...
and who can listen to James Taylor and not want to sing along?

I love the song Wildfire too, and the person behind the nick.
I also love the John Denver songs,,,,, so many songs that make you feel you should be sitting on a mountain, looking over a river, heaven almost. I have been to Denver, CO so many times and I always feel a sense of peace when I am there. Of course we go out of town to get into the moutains, but even in town the mountains take my breath away. I think I like each and every John Denver song, have since I was a kid. Oh and Karen Carpenter,,,,, wow, what a voice. I love to sing her songs, but not outloud,,,heheh, just for me.
I sang the song "Wildfire" to my kids the other day,,,,,, because their grandmother gave them some barbie horses to play with and we were thinking of names. When I sang the song, they had tears in their eyes,and hugged their little toy horses. I had horses growing up and I will forever have that song in my memory , because my love of horses. There is no greater beauty in an animal, that a wild free horse. In fact if I had to be an animal, that is what I would want to be , a wild FREE horse.

a wild free dolphin...
I love dolphins too,,,,,,, they seem to be smiling. I have heard stories how intelligent they are, how they have saved men from drowning at sea. Funny, I just realized the things I would choose to be if I were an animal , are those things as freedom and speed. So dolphins, horses, or some kind of bird, would be perfect. These animals seem to be so free , so independent yet also love their groups.
My kids share my love of animals and I they know I cry over everything,,, happy , sad, doesnt matter. They seem to think it is funny how I can cry over the same movie over and over again. I laugh , I thought my mom was a sap too. Oh but one day,,, they will look back and remember my songs, my movies and smile..... you just never know how long you have on this earth, I think of that alot. So everyday , I try to let my kids know what I love, what I don't , trying to teach them how important memories are. Memories are all we have when someone dies, so I think it is so important to tell our kids these little things, just like that song. This will be something that will always comfort them , when we are gone. To me that is so important.

Yes i do love to sing and it is my escape from all the stresses and anger that have been built up in me through out all my years under a control--freak husband and org...... I am so happy for you Dede to have a wonderful husband and kids .... that is something to never take for granted....but alas i was reading the post about your father... and my heart truely aches for you and so many others who are treated so poorly.. (from our own flesh and blood) take care of yourselves and know WILDFIRE ,,,, WILL TAKE US AWAY FROM ALL THE PAIN WE FEEL TODAY....BE FREE DEAR WILDFIRE.... SING THE SONG FOREVER STRONG.....
