Absolutely brilliant exchange! The South African guy (Stuart?) has researched the Org well and has been asking excellent, incisive questions. The more JWs see this, the better.

The dumb elder squirmed quite a bit and seemed to glare at Stuart when the latter had the audacity to ask awkward questions - absolutely love it!

Is it just me, or does anyone else get an almost perverted pleasure watching elders squirm and being torn apart by educated, qualified, experienced, intelligent 'worldly' people?

Also, completely off-topic, has anyone else noticed the gorgeous blonde lady in steel-grey jacket and blue shirt? I can't take my eye off her at times - partly because she's so beautiful; partly because some of her reactions to the elders' dumb replies have been priceless!

The blond is a Watchtower lawyer. Her reactions need to be evaluated with that knowledge. She does not like what Stewart is saying. She doesn't like that the elders are being forced to expose how ignorant they are.

I have seen her lip curl in disdain at some of the things that the Commission is saying. She is not happy with the process and what is being revealed.

It was a nice touch on the part of the WT legal team - stick some eye candy out there right in the line of everyone's view when the camera is on Stewart (and directly in the middle - right where the Justice can see her).

Oh well, It is about the only defense the WT team has.

Would this elder be violating his scriptural responsibility if he did, indeed, warn his close friends (I doubt he has any) outside the congregation about the predator? I thought the reason why someone was df'd was supposed to remain confidential. The "close friend" could tell other JWs and that would not be in accordance with the protocol.

I think he just screwed up!!!!!!

Poor bastard!! I feel sorry for him. He's been thrown under the bus by his gurus!

Nope - not in the slightest!

Him and his fellow "appointed men" worldwide deserve everything that's coming their way.

The way that J.W. elders are trained to think and act when dealing with their "sheep", has been revealed for the whole world to see - especially 8m of them.

These guys love their masters and the position of power which they receive from Brooklyn, in order to rule over people's lives.

Time to pay the piper, boys. You deserve what's coming to youl!

Me neither. That "poor" bastard threw BCG under the bus way back when she was a teenager. Don't forget that she was hung out to dry by him. And...so were all of her sisters - a couple of them were really young.

He emphatically claimed that he believed her and had believed her all along. But he didn't stand up for her - he went along with the men's club.

Yeah, Bowditch couldn't remember the details of anything that could possibly make him or the WTS look bad, But when it came time for him to recount all the wonderful things he did for her when she got married, he could remember every f**ing detail. Bastard.

All he was describing was normal human interaction and calling it "support". At no time did he validate BCG's experience. All the stuff that he was saying he did - he just did those things to try to assauge his guilty conscience. That wedding participation that he so glowingly recounted, was for his healing of his guilt.

I have zero sympathy for these elders.

In fact the only thing I do feel is disgust. Disgust for their pathetic responses.

They are not the victims here. They are willful accomplices to the obstruction of justice, they are a disgrace.

The worldly questioner missed the clincher, an elder in good standing should not have "close friends" outside of the org. Just saying.... the elder catches what he just said, "If they are outside the church and they are a close friend I would tell them......" you can see the light go off in his face, his next response, "if.... if I was.... if I associated with him." Someone is in trouble, someone is in trouble lol Asshole!

This guy makes me sick. He had a choice. Cult or not, he made a choice. He can rot in hell for that for all I care.
