The universe seems to be evolving to more complexity. To me, it seems that god is evolving as well. That's not to say there there might not be higher beings than us floating around. It does go along w the srewups on the earth though. Millions of yrs of dumb as dogs dinosaurs roaming around, then suddenly wiped out, like an experiment that he lost interest in. It also goes along w the idea that we are probes of god. We learn for him(it). All our experiences reflect back on god through our divine connections. It also goes along w the conclusion, that it seems that god doesn't give a shit.

Dragon, perhaps the idea is for us to continue to evolve so as to arrive one day in that high spiritual estate when we can see him? Perhaps the idea is that we are to search for him, rather than have him jump from behind a tree one day screaming Voila at the top of his lungs?

If God's "single creation event" was a big explosion, then it's rather fascinating we got to this point.
After all, it's not very often that explosions result in intelligent, conscious beings.
