Wow! I never realized he had a son. I can only imagine the kind of life he must have had, and I feel a great deal of empathy for him.

There was somebody else besides RR who was researching jfr's life w the intent of writing a book. Sorry, i can't remember who it was.
Maybe malcom was just sick of all that ****, and was trying to leave it behind. Interviews would have stired up the bad smell again. My guess.
