Yes in fatct my friend is a member of this forum and he is almost certainly here now. who he is is another question however.

And you're obviously not allowed to tell anyway.

He didn't want to tell me as he considers himself to be a keystone in the direction this forum takes and did not want to jeopardise his identity, he informs me that his identity is very wanted that being said you all could probably tell me who he is.

He didn't want to tell me-- so this person could be setting you up for a giant practical joke. If he hasn't told you his ID you have less gaurentee he actually posts here, unless he can prove it by other means. Assuming "he" exists.

It is funny but the reason he asked me along i am suspecting is because all of these things which you are now complaining about i predicted many years ago. And now he feels like saying you told me so.

We here are not "complaining" imo about the topics I mentioned. Complainers whine and bellyache because they like to gripe but don't really expect anything will be done about it--in which case why gripe? We document past and present abuses in the hope (again, imo) that from awareness comes pressure on the WBTS to stop these things and own up to past mistakes. Otherwise why bother?

If you did in fact predict these things, and IF you're a JW, why did you stay in? By doing so you (and he, if he's a dub) opened yourselves up to charges of becoming accomplices to the shady and sometimes ILLEGAL activities (ex.: failure to notify authorities of child-abuse allegations when require d to do so by state law) if you knew about them, could have stopped them, and did nothing. It's no different than if I held an accounting-related job and was asked to participate in or look the other way concerning illegalities being done by management. If the firm's officers are later indicted, can I blame others for considering me a willing partner in the crimes?

What has his wanting to say "you told me so" got to do with you being here? I don't see a connection. Explain please.

I was never a JW but was subjected to enough via my association with my friend to be able to deduce that the jehovahs witness movement was destined to failure and not by accident or revelation but by design. He dismissed my speculations and continued in his faith it made no difference to me because it was generally good so i did not persist in dissuading him.
We stopped communicating for many years and we have recently been reunited and since then (4-5 months ago )his religion or the JWs did not come up. Today was the first time he mentioned it and so i assume he was humbly saying "you told me so" by my invitation here as it is apparent that The Watchtower Society is facing demise.

Obviously this clown is trolling, if he is already familiar with the prophecies even back in the 80s then he IS that "friend" he portends not to be. Why would any "friend" tell somebody else who says he doesnt have any involvement with JWs to go check out a JW based site? That makes NO sense. And if said friend is of "inferior intellect" to this guy, then he's obviously a lump of PlayDo. While you are out doing menial tasks for somebody else, Tisin, would you mind terribly going to Martha Stewart's website and bringing back to us some of her stock tips, since you are just an errand boy?

One word of advise. If you consider this person your friend, do not be so arrogant against him. leaving the witnesses is NOT easy. It is not a "just make a decision" thing. A lot of pain and desillusion comes along with it. If you are his friend, you will help him by being there for him. Not by being there for him with a smug attitude of "I told you so".

I never ever said "i told you so" I honestly meant it when I stated that i think he invited me here to "say you told me so" it is a commendable attribute and unlike the person who posted before you my friend is still a good person. Although he left the JW's and i am sure most of you are just as most of the teachings were with truth if they were not would most of you have believed.
