I have been reading about the Witnesses for some time - but the information I read is always massively biased against. It is even hard to tell if this web site is exclusively designed for aggrieved ex-Witnesses. I am at a loss here. Who would like to describe Jehova's Witnesses in ONE sentence? And it would be interesting if you could say if you are/were a Witness, or why it is of concern to you. All the best!

I suggest that you do some homework for yourself. Go though some of the old post, and come up with your own decision as to what JW's are all about. Oh and by the way what is it of concern to you? You are the one who came here.

I didn't mean "why is it of concern to you" as, "isn't it none of your business". Sorry, that didn't read well. I meant, "how have you been affected". I am just curious why this religion raises such passions.

Witnesses in good standing aren't supposed to be frequenting sites like this. And the ones that ignore Brooklyn's directives in these matters sound so nutty that they do a better job of turning people off the Witnesses than the exes ever will!

The jw's believe that they as the self appointed hallmark of god. Follow them or die.

The the persuit of truth, reality, and the facts should not bias.

Opinions are bias. Things that one can believe but can't prove with any evidence. They (jw) believe that they have THE God as their own. I believe they(jw) have created A god of their own. These are both bias opinions.

Do you believe the Witnesses to be unbias? People of honor? Loving? Tolerant? You say that you have studied them. What have you learned?

I think it's very difficult to get your mind round things when you first start finding out the real truth, especially if you have been a 'real' JW or been brought up in the religion.

It's worth looking beyond the negative comments so you can weigh up the information to judge things properly yourself.

My one sentance?

"Don't believe everything people tell you ... especially if 'god talks to them' "
