I can recall counsel on ,not reserving seats at assemblies and not placing magazines on them.I wouldn't doubt that is where that came from.

I don't recall any disturbances happening at any assemblies in Texas. We must be boring here in the Lone Star State. I do recall getting disturbed from a nod off nap during the program. I used to fall asleep when a GB member was speaking. To tell you the truth, I nodded pretty much all the time.

Disturbance = howling and sobbing of children during 15-minute closing prayer at district convention. I like to think there were a few grownups howling and sobbing too - I know I wanted to!

Anybody up for dressing up in suits, getting some fake name tags, bibles, and songbooks? What would we need them for? Go to an assembly and get into a fake fight with each other. Sure, having someone do a little cosmetic damage that will heal quickly would be a pain but just think of how much fun it would be to shove a fight between "brothers" in the faces of all those self-righteous dubs?

Fremont Soltice parade regularly has over 20,000 people at it, and we do security for it, and never have a problem. This is 20,000+ people versus a hand full of people. Hempfest had 200,000+ people and had no significant problems.

I've seen a couple,one w/ my best friend when he was threatened by his best female friends fiancee. Both jw's. The guy threatening my buddy outweighed him by about 75 lbs., big jock asshole type, & my buddy had just gotten out of the hospital for a rare disease he was getting over, His legs were still 1/2 paralyzed. Jock boy thought this would be a good time to threaten him in the parking lot. One thing led to another & my buddy ended up slamming his head in a car door a few times, so the jerk decided to run & complain to the elders. When they saw the disparity in size & heard about the threats, they just laughed at him. One of the few times they were fair in my opinion.

p.s What about the beatings delivered to kids on a regular, brutal basis, do they count?
