    Laughing at Adam and chachasmum....

How can a thread discuss something so sad and tragic and then people begin seriously arguing about the letter "E" and the vernacular? Potatoe Potato potartose, who gives a flying..its all spuds where I come from in brummie land.

Poor kids though, smiling hero's all the way.

    And one more observation:

I write "program" when reffering to something on TV.

I write "Programme" when reffering to a written list of talks being given at a convention or sumpthin.

...like whats on the programme for the assembly this weekend? Or...did you see that program on tv?

MY English leaves little to be desired either way.

What a sad story. I remember seeing a story on this here in the states a few years back.

    ((((((Mary))))))) Take care of yourself

    Simon:

I am where you are. If there is a loving god who cares about us, like the bible says, then why permit little children to suffer in pain. Inherited Sin? Nope, it just doesn't float. It makes no logical sense. Is God logical, then?

Our Loving Father is sitting on his throne watching all humanity, since creating the first living beings in his image, suffer in pain and "not knowing the way out." He sits there with the ultimate power in all the universe to HELP if he wants to. And, he just sits there. Not only does he sit there, he sends down some very mean and angry angels to make life even more difficult for his beloved children. Yes, he does send his Son to die for our sins so that we may be forgiven for the very errors that God himself can alleviate. But, Son or not, we still have pain and suffering. Is God Logical, then?

Our Loving Father gives us a book filled with stories of mutilation, wars, rapes, and riddles so that his beloved children will "be filled with a healthy fear" of God so that we will worship him in "truth." This book and the religions that follow it fight over interpretations that each feels is the right interpretation. Why the confusion? Why the riddles? Is God Logical, then?

The question I have come to at this point is, Not "Is God Logical?", BUT, "Is There A God?"

Ah yes, the age old question of "why does God permit suffering". Most of us know the WT's answer is bogus, so what's the real answer?

Either God doesn't give a crap about all the evil that is perpetrated upon innocent people, or he doesn't exist. Take your pick.

On progeria, I've seen a couple of shows on the subject. Truly tragic for kids, as is the rest of the childhood diseases. I wonder if these kids mocked a bald religious zealot at one time.

We use both words in the UK:

    • Programme refers to TV shows and theatre guides
    • Program is typically used when refering to computer programs

It does make me wonder when people are aguing about trivial things and there are peolpe in the world who will never get the chance to waste their time on such rubbish ... they won't live that long.

I hate seeing programmes with kids on like that as it really does give you a feeling of helplessness and it's hard not to cry (equally hard to watch).

Good luck with the treatment Mary

To GoldenGirl: I would strongly recommend that you look into something called The Breuss Cancer Cure. As soon as my radiation is over I'm going to try it. It's totally natural and there's been great success with it: You can buy it at a Chapters books store and it's well worth it.

You are absolutely right - life is way too short and precious ... just a couple of streets over, a young child unlatched the door at night, was attacked by some wild dogs and died. The parents are inconsolable. You just never know when a life will come to an abrupt and untimely end. :(

Thanks for the link. His sister in NY is a JW. She recommeded something called "Tahitian Noni Juice" He was drinking a bottle a day.It had Noni fruit juice, grape juice and blueberry juice But they didn't say to fast.

Someone else E Mailed me and recommended fasting with only juices. The trouble with that is ..he got such terrible diarrhea .

Now he cut back to the recommended 6 oz a day. It cost us $1000. the first month he took it!

But he had no nausea with the chemo..his blood counts stayed excellent except his clotting was low because of the liver damage. But Vitamin K fixed that.

He gives all the credit to the Noni juice. But it didn't keep his liver tumors from growing!..I have heard that fasting until you are almost dead is the only way the juice diet helps. That scares me.

Noni doesn't tell you to fast but they do recommend staying away from sugars and processed foods.

Only thing is their juice has "Sugar" in it!.. I guess they think people don't read labels!

Hubby is a believer but I am a skeptic to any non- proven remedies!

    Snoozy....
