    Yes.

John Bolaris' last night is Wednesday. I will be sad to see him go. He seemed like a real truly great guy. They are supposed to have a piece on his career at channel 10 on the 11:00pm news on Wednesday. I might stay up to watch it.

Now, Hurricane Schwartz will be the head weather guy there. Like him too. He's just not as nice to look at as John was.

Hey Funch & tink, thanks for the well-wishes on my trip.

Anyone else travelling over the holidays?

    Shakita-

I haven't seen a great Weatherman/woman since Jim O'Brien. He was awesome and funny!!! He died in a parachute jump. He is the father of 'Ros' from 'Frazier'.

Also, Dave Roberts (who replaced Jim O'Brien) is the father of the guy from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer".

What's up with Channel 6 weathermen having famous kids?

detective- You're welcome. I am not travelling (unfortunately).

I forgot to add that the one negative about snow is when it falls on a non-meeting night. Sigh...

I'm in New Jersey, and we're expecting the snow. Whatever they say for public consumption, the elders here gladly waste no time in pulling the plug on meetings when it snows. Whether it's elder, dub or hanger-on, a weather-induced cancellation is always welcome news!

    I hate snow!

I believe in another thread with this exact same title started by scootergirl a few months back I called it Satan's Dandruff. And I stand by that claim.

However, my sis, brother-in-law, his son, and my nephew are all coming up from Florida with the hope of seeing some snow. I don't think they are going to get that opportunity. Unless we take them to the ski slopes where they have the artificial stuff.

My nephew has never seen snow. He's two.

My sister bought him mittens the other day. He didn't know what they were so when she put them on his hands to see how they fit he said "oooh puppets!"

IT'S A CRYIN SHAME! My nephew has no comprehension of his Norweigan heritage~hee hee!

    O M G!!!Nooo....

Im sorry but I cant feel the same appreciation for snow as you do. S N O W is a four letter word around here. You see, we get an awful lot of lake effect snow where we live. Sometimes its not even snowing but can become windy and heavy drifting is a common result. We have over two feet right now and we got it pretty much over night.

This is a pic of a home we were renting a while back, we had such heavy drifting that I was actually trapped inside the house. The person who came to plow us out took this picture. If you look close you can see me and my daughter peeking through the window. (Help!!)

I have seen snow heaps...but only on TV. Does it feel as nice as it looks? I asked myself this same question when I saw your pic Funch

But back to snow...while you have satan's dandruff, we have satan's flatulence.

NSW fires...from one extreme to another Give me the snow.

    Ah, Beck!

You haven't e-mailed me lately. Don't you love me anymore??? Did you know that friction between two bodies (male and female, of course) have triggered fires like the one you are showing? In fact, I'd be willing to show you how...
