Tex here (I've hit the dreaded posting limit again)

Great news Minimus! Has she had any questions or problems about what she's read? It does read like the Aid book though . . .

She's still reading. I don't want to ask her anything yet, but as soon as I do, I'll let you know.

    Minimus,

I know you are excited, but back off. She may need several days to digest what she is reading and put the pieces together. It is hard to get everything turned upside down about your whole belief system, just be there for when she has questions for you.

Now go eat some M&M's or something!

    Hugs,

<passing some Merlot to Minimus> works better than M&Ms.

    Minimus,

Someone said that if your wife could empathize with Schnell she would surely appreciate Franz. He is so right.

I first read '30yrs a Wt slave' in my early teens as a very loyal dub. Since my mother and father were at Bethel when Schnell was there, I asked them about him. Mom said that he was a bethel typist. She remembered that he always made a big issue out of wanting to be known as the NO 1 TYPIST. I guess you had to be there.

Anyway his style and presentation seemed to be very harsh, if there ever was an example of a disgruntled ex Schnell fills the bill.

UPDATE----My wife had started re-reading COC in the past couple of weeks. She is reading now how Ray and company got railroaded and kicked out of Bethel. We missed another Sunday meeting yesterday, but at least she got her "spiritual food".

    Great news, minimus!

Maybe one day we will see her posting here as Mrs. Minimus! That would be something, huh?

Hope everything works out for you.

i wonder when i will get to the day when my wife will read this book. i have not read it yet, it seems like a crossroads. i already hate being there so badly, and my family is there and hers. i know that after reading it i will just absolutely not want to go at all and i don't know if that is possible for me just yet.

    CONGRATS to minimus and mrs................

I can't believe I missed this thread the first time round.

Minimus, I'm glad that your wife is slowly coming 'round. And missing another Sunday meeting? Wow, the elders will be knocking on your door soon!!
