..after you were baptised, and how did you feel?
I went for a swim, having got baptised at Orchard Beach, New York. I was disappointed that I didn't feel any sort of warm glow.
When my Dad was baptised, it was at Epsom circuit assembly, London. He felt really stressed out and went outside the hall and lit up a cigarette.
My Mum was baptised at Twickenham, said she felt wonderful, and left the stadium to have a cigarette.
So what did you do? How did you feel afterwards?

It felt good for me because I was finally able to date my girlfriend. Apart from that, nothing really that special except that I couldn't celebrate Christmas with my family (I got baptized on Dec. 20th) so I was pretty bummed out.
I thought you was going to say ... when you got disfellowshipped. Because in my case, that leads to a far more interesting story.
Popped out of the water, looked heavenward and silently said these words: "Oh, shit, Mac, now look what you've done!!!!!!!!!"

P.S. Had my fingers crossed when they dunked me, so I don't really think it counted
I was looking forward to be fully approved and start the dating process. Little did I know the dating scene was scarce and a really BIG JOKE.
First thing I did? Trying to make myself presentable again. It was at a convention, and we had all afternoon to go. My hair was wet, my make-up run through. It was hot in the dressing room and so everything stuck together, and I hated those bloody stockings that refused to sit properly
Yuk. Bad memories, bad.....
I went back to my seat in the auditorium and had a cold hoagie and a Chek drink. WhoopDeeDoo!!!

I had some of the same feelings.I changed my mind before I took the dip but went ahead and went for a swim.All I could think of,was I had a bad perm and I was going to look funky all day.LOL I had a small bald spot on my head from the perm, and I rushed to the bathroom to fix my hair. A few months later I DA myself.
Same think - Couldn't understand why I felt no diffferent - Then I got real badly sick a couple of days later - Undoubtably from being dunked under a in a little tub of water that 20 other people had already bathed in - How could it be - I thought it was holy water or something - Makes me sick just thinking about the hygiene implications now
The first one didn't work when I was seven, so I did it again at 25 and that didn't work either, so at 38 I just gave it all up.
