Hey ThiChi you went to dinner in my old "territory"....may I ask what congregation you were in?

Oh, to stay on topic, I didn't do much after the big dip...just tried to get myself presentable...I was totaly indoctrinated at that point..felt hollow and empty, but that wasn't uncommon for me back then. Totally alive and kickin and full of it now....

I thought I was pretty darn special, I wandered around the convention at lunch sporting my wet hair like some sort of "badge of honour", and felt important when people congratulated me and called me "sister". But once my hair dryed out and we went home after the convention, nothing had changed and I still felt an outcast in my congregation.

Odd, I can't say I remember what I did afterwards ('79), but mere seconds before...

    ...in the change room...

    ..I had impure thoughts!!!!

    Can't believe I admitted that!

    Sabine:

I attended the South Gate, CA congregation. I was Baptized in 1972 (three years before Armageddon came!) At the Lemert Theater, in LA.

My favorite haunt in West LA was a Disco club called Dillons. Three stories high with a band on one level, a disco on another and an over 21 on level three........Yesterdays was another great hang out for dinner.

After getting dressed, some good friends of my parents invited us outside to the lunch table area. It figures they would ask me to say prayer now that I was a "baptized brother." That was the only prayer I ever remember saying in front of other people in which I stumbled through it the entire way.
