Gosser Dark (but can't find it any more), Hacker Pschor Octoberfest, Dinkel Acker Dark, and of course, Guiness.
But, if I'm slumming it, Miller High Life will do (I grew up in Milwaukee, what can I say?).
I much prefer burbon and coke or baileys

Yes, but:
Most of the stuff that you are describing is not beer, but lager.
Lager is yellow in colour, beer is of a mahogany hue. Newcastle Brown is a Brit bottled beer, a tad sweet perhaps, but definitely beer. Michelob, etc, is lager, quite nice, but lager nonetheless.
Time for Jst2laws to tell us all about how he worked his way through our Brit beers in the pub, eh?
Heh heh.
Englishman.
I used to drink Amber Bach all the time but now I either drink coors light or Michelob Ultra Low carb beer.
Jesika, just for you, here is a Tom T. Hall song from back in the 70s;
I LIKE BEER In some of my songs I have casually mentioned
The fact that I like to drink beer
This little song is more to the point
Roll out the barrel and lend me your ears
(Chorus)
I like beer. It makes me a jolly good fellow
I like beer. It helps me unwind and sometimes it makes me feel mellow (Makes him feel mellow)
Whiskey's too rough, champagne costs too much, vodka puts my mouth in gear
This little refrain should help me explain as a matter of fact I like beer
(He likes beer)
My wife often frowns when we're out on the town
And I'm wearing a suit and a tie
She's sipping vermouth and she thinks I'm uncouth
When I yell as the waiter goes by
(Chorus)
Last night I dreamed that I passed from the scene
And I went to a place so sublime
Aw, the water was clear and tasted like beer
Then they turned it all into wine (awww)
I like beer. It makes me a jolly good fellow
I like beer. It helps me unwind and sometimes it makes me feel mellow (Makes him feel mellow)

Since I don't drink much beer anymore, I don't really have a favorite, but I must say that the beer I got while in Germany was outstanding! Strong too

I am a 100 percent beer drinker, you can bring in a keg of beer and I would love you but it has to be " MOLSON CANADIAN LAGER BEER",!! but if you don't really have that I will suffer through with a keg of BUDWIESER!!
Of course I will drink rum and coke and rye and coke or rye and ginger ale, singapore sling, vodka, bloody ceaser, butter shoots, baileys, crown royal, jack daniels, ammerrto, exotic drinks, oh hell just give me any ole drink and I will drink it. Cuz I love drinking. I am not an alcholic I just love a good party and being with fabulous friends and I love Christmas and New Years Eve. Lets all have a safe and happy holiday season and remember,
" DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE "
love Orangefatcat.
Sam Adams Golden Pilsner is my fave beer.
I'm liking the Rosemont Shiraz for wine.
Love a Gin and Tonic with lime squeezed in.
Beer goes with Football, Pizza, Chinese Food. Wine goes with a steak or grilled food, the Gin & Tonic is the after meeting drink of choice in the hall.
