    Nicole Kidman will discuss Scientology

Nicole Kidman will talk about Scientology in her interview with Leslie Stahl slated for this coming Sunday on CBS "60 Minutes," says Liz Smith.

The former wife of Tom Cruise will supposedly reveal some of her feelings about the controversial church, which has been called a "cult."

If Kidman brings out negative aspects of the church, it will a first. Typically, people who have left Scientology appear afraid to speak out, especially celebrities. The organization has a reputation for being quite punative when it comes to ex-Scientologists who say things they don't like.

Kidman has a history of making remarks in interviews that seemed to distance her from Scientology. There has been speculation that Scientology may have contributed to the disintegration of her marriage and subsequent divorce. And also, that Kidman had concerns about its influence upon her children.

Curise remains a devout Scientologist and one of its most ardent public advocates.

..."If Kidman brings out negative aspects of the church, it will a first. Typically, people who have left Scientology appear afraid to speak out"....

Scientology Apostate Cyril Vosper. "The Mind Benders" Chapter "Ethics":

    "The conditions of existance from highest to lowest are : Power/ Affluence/ Normal operation/ Emergency/ Danger/ Non existance/ Liability/ Doubt/ Enemy/ Treason."

Heres what vosper experienced when he recieved the classification "Liability":

"Colleagues who you regarded as friends suddenly seem distant and distrustfull. They wont talk to you. They dont offer you cigarettes or suggest you take a swig of their coke. .....you are not supposed to eat and drink more than stale cheese sandwiches and water".

I dont think ANYONE would want to recieve the status of "TREASON".

I read an article about Tom and Penelope. She says she is willing to become a scientoligist just to make Tom happy.Hmmm...wonder how long this will last...I'm taking bets.I think this time next year it will be all overif Penelope ever starts to think for herself.

Good luck to her ... she got out with her kids and isn't afraid to speak up.

I think she's great ... and not just because she's one of the most beautiful women on the planet

I'm interested in what Nicole has to say. I had always been a Tom Cruise fan until their divorce. The whole way it was filed, reeked. I've tried to learn about Scientology, but there is very little "unbiased" information regarding them. And how they segregate more wealthy members in their opulent "Celebrity Centres" from more common folk has always struck me as disgusting and strange.

I also know they have deep pockets. Especially, with their tax exempt status. They have not hesitated in the past to sue those that have spoken negatively about the Organization in the past.

Anyway, I do hope she speaks frankly about them. Right now, she enjoys a lot of sympathy from the public because of how her creep EX acted during their divorce. Even the "church" of Scientology wouldn't have the guts to file a VERY public and VERY negative law suit against her. The last thing they want is the light of public opinion to be shown brightly on their little gold mine.

Scientology has a very effective way of keeping celebrity Scientologist in check, whether they choose to leave the cult or not. A lot of the process of this religion is called "auditing." You confess your deepest and darkest secrets, problems, feelings, to a Scientologist "auditor." They make a handy videotape of these audit sessions. Guess who keeps it?

When actor John Travolta had differences with Scientology and their leadership, videotapes of him "confessing" to homosexual encounters kept him quiet. He's a virtual prisoner of them now, and has to promote Scientology or face possible exposure of his past personal life which could hurt his career. Why do you think he made "Battlefield Earth"? The founder of Scientology, L. Ron Hubbard, wrote it.

Bravo for Kidman for having the guts to go forward.

So how did you find this out, if this info hasn't been "exposed" yet?

Well Pris I heard the same thing. These things have a way of getting around.

I dont doubt there is a large measure of truth in What mega says. Scientology does have a very nasty reputation. I have seen fully grown , highly experienced "deprogrammers"/ "councellors" break into a sweat at the very mention of the word "scientology". Not kidding.
