At least the German edition of "Our Kingdom Ministry" says that new literature is no longer announced in the km. Instead there will be a letter from the Society that is read and shown at the announcement board.

Maybe they want to use the space in the km for other things. Or they just want keep those informed that attend meetings.

Yes, that's an intriguing departure from past practice, German. Thanks for pointing it out for us.

I'm not so sure about the reason. You see, the KM is available to all publishers, so even if they are not at the KH they would get the info on new publications. But now, if they weren't at the meeting, they'd miss the news.

Frankly, the way the announcements and Society letters are read in the Service Meetings, you could easily miss the news!

    Cheers, Ozzie

Mnay years ago, i remermber , the WTS saying a time would come when the only way u may even know where the next meeeting would be held would be if u were at the previous meeting. The WTS is probably starting to tighten the noose-and restrict who finds out about the publicatioons. So.. to keep xjws/government. form haivng info. Sounds like we are slowly at teh start of sort of undergound thing. they did it during ww2.

I'm not sure if Ozzie meant that the KM is literally available to only publishers, but it is true. If you are inactive or not enrolled in the school, you will not receive a KM. In my case, I share with my wife her copy. If you are not enrolled in the school, you will also not receive the new school book. The talk counsel slips are history come January 2003. Your counsel is now written in your personal school book.

And because the Ministry School book is aiming at training people for delivering speeches etc., it's only logical that it is available only to those attending the school, isn't it? I see nothing subversive therein.

The km thing must be a Germany only thing, as nothing has been said or written in other countries about it.

Since the JW wife and I split the bed sheets, I no longer have access to KMs. But, as she and her brood left, they did accidentally leave behind a copy of the new school book. Of course, you know, I tried to tell them too, right?

Pages 79 to 81 are now the counsel slip.

I have not recieved my Belgium edition of the KM but I heard rumours about it, that they will announce the new literature in a letter.

Don't forget that they have to put every two months the questions for the TMS in it.

Perhaps they are trying to limit special order requests to encourage congregations to use up what stock they have onhand? This would discourage people from ordering more expensive publications and help the Society get rid of old literature, thus stretching their resources. Sounds like more cost-cutting to me.

Oh, there is also no more written review. It will be an oral one now.
