I saw this movie over the weekend. I think he did a very good job addressing the subject of guns in America. I walked away still not knowing exactly why there are so many more murders in this country than in any other countries. Two main contributing factors stand out in my mind:

    1. Guns are easily accessible and are an encouraged purchase.
    2. America has accepted gun-toting and violence by guns as part of their culture. It's glamorized by the media as part of the "American Culture."

It's an eye opener documentarty, that's for sure. I didn't know America has such an outrageous amount more murders than other countries. Also learned how some celebrities are nothing but self-centered pricks.

I have respect for Kmart after seeing that movie, that's for sure. They did a very noble thing.

Anybody else seen it? Michael Moore deserves mad props.

This was a GREAT movie. One you should go see with other to discuss afterward.

I encourage everyone to see it, no matter what your stance is on the Gun Issue, it's some powerful stuff to consider.

I heard about the movie on the radio and it did sound remarkably good and the reviewers highly recommended it. Apparently it even manages humour while discussing such a sensitive and tragic event.

BTW: What did KMart do ?

Well, the kids that shot up the school got their ammo from Kmart. Michael Moore met w/ two survivors who still have the bullets lodged in their bodies. The 3 of them walked to Kmart headquarters and asked them if they would consider removing ammonition from their stock. Kmart, like any corporation, was nervous about the camera being on, but agreed to meet w/ Michael offline about the matter. They decided to pull all the ammo off the shelves. What a big decision to make - makes me wonder if they actually held up to it or not.

Thank the twisted Lord of low budget film for sceptical satirists and kick-ass reporters like Mike Moore! I love the guys work. I'm looking forward to seeing the Colombine flick. (M.M. helps us foreigners see that americans really aren't as bad as Hollywood and briant gumballs would have us think

    LOL...

Just a reminder...we didn't elect him...he just forcibly took it...people always seem to forget that.

the loss of revenue K-Mart will suffer as a result of no longer stocking amo will be far outweighed by the free global advertisement they have received courtesy of M Moore. There was no ethical decision made on their part, just a clever corporate decision.

Awesome movie/documentary. Just saw it two nights ago.
Didn't know what to expect, was blown away.
    Very impressive.
    Sobering. Laffter & tears.

Charleton Heston is a racist dork defying description and logic.
(Here is a Canadian Air Farce Comedy Troup interpretation of him. http://www.airfarce.ca/video/021108.html)

Why do we have all the murders here?? Drugs. Culture. Idiots.

    Guns Rule.

NRA 4 EVER. Hey, thats a good license plate. I'll have to try that.

Murders are a big problem. There are alot of deaths due to firearms and the common cry is to get rid of them. Sadly, those who support this view do not look at the underlying causes of these murders.

In another viewpoint, Drunk Driving kills more people each year- is totally preventable, yet no-one here is trying to ban alcohol. People need to wake up.
