    People need to wake up.

    Yep they do.

The documentary showed that, for example, Canada has as many guns per capita as the States, but far fewer deaths by shooting.

Getting rid of guns is not the answer.

I'm fairly certain that canada does not have as many guns per capita as the U.S I had some number before that showed this but do you have any statistics that would save me the trouble of lookin for em?? :D

It's a lousy movie. Just more loonie, lefty propanda. Have you ever heard the guy interviewed? He's nuts!

    I loved it.

Can't argue with Michael Moore being a nut. Only a nut could say and do that to Charleton Heston, IN Heston's house, especially after Charleton Heston had just finished bragging about all the loaded guns he keeps around. lol.

    Nuttiness has some advantages. ;)

    'Bowling FOR Columbine', actually.

Haven't seen it, and actually don't really mean to.

Morally and statistically, gun advocates simply have no leg to stand on. The gun ownership argument basically comes down to "But it's obviously DESTROYING OUR SOCIETY" vs "But the Constitution GUARANTEES IT AS A RIGHT".

I really don't need to sit through two hours of that..

Morally and statistically gun advocates have every leg to stand on. The emotive, baseless rhetoric all comes from the left.

No, 'morally' and 'statistically' as in, with NO EXCEPTIONS, there is a DIRECT correlation between the strictness of a nation's gun control laws and its crime rate. The easier it is to get a gun, the higher the murder rate in the country. Every country - no exceptions.

Actually Xander you are mistaken in some aspects.]

In the U.S. the states with strictest gun laws have the highest crime rates and murders not the other way around like you suggest.

What cracks me up is the people/pacifists/leftests who think the Gov is a warmongering human rights bashing bastard but yet they want the Gov to be the only one with firearms. That makes sense.

    Xander,

Why dont you ban Alcohol? It kill more people, costs society more, is indescriminate in killing women and children, and has absolutly NO CONSTITUTIONAL SUPPORT.
