Girl, i like your plan. I agree with mimus, be careful about the letter head-maybe alter it a bit , so it won't look exactly like wt, but enough to get peopel to read it. Or at least start reading it. In the end, he's out. U won't convince anyone of anything-about all u could cause is a lot of havoc for the elders and cong. and co. I know its tempting, but u know not to deface property-they would call police if they caught u. But on the whole-i really like your idea. A woman with a plan.

don't forget to call and send in a heart wrenching letter to the local paper/local news station about your loyal brave husband who is going to SERVE HIS COUNTRY, during a time of terrisiom-well u know-lay it on. it will make the jws look like DOG POOP. it won't change anything-but it will give them VERY BAD PR. i also, have a thought. What about the local churches in your town? Wouldn't they be interested in someone who was sevrving his country and being kicked out of his faith?.Ask them how they would deal with a church member who has doubts? create a town stir,hey it is PLAY IT FOR ALL ITS' WORTH. PATROISM, SINCERE MEMBER JUST HAVING DOUBTS.

and one more thing-don't forget the neighbors. maybe they would like to know that someone who is going to serve his country is now being KICKED OUT OF HIS CHURCH. Since 9/11 people are concerned for safety. he's going to protect and defend our country. What a nasty thing to do to a person who is protecting our way of life. Maybe yuor neighbors would like to know about this before they talk to the next jw who comes to their door?

I have to agree with the other posters that using WT, copyrighted graphics and letterhead would get you in to trouble. Also, I'm sure that vandalism is not something that you would be willing to go to jail for. As for poop on the door-handle, well, that would be just plain nasty and you might end up hurting some innocent person or persons.

I do, however, think that a letter in a plain envelope with no return address but with an interesting logo on the outside would be opened by many. You could develop some well-written intro matierial as a lead-in. Sort of some non-controversial information that invites the reader to read on and insert your message in the text a couple or three paragraphs down, once you have generated interest in your matierial.

A letter to the editor(s) of your local papers would be a great idea telling them of your husband's circumstances and decision to serve his country.

Letters and/or visits to the local churches and city/state governments would also be effective. At least in terms of generating interest in what this cult does to people who have legitimate doubts.

Wouldn't this (Christmas) be an excellent time for all of the subscribers to this board and all like-minded people to collaborate on a letter that we could all send to people we know and love who are still in the 'borg? Probably a large percentage of witnesses are going through a tough time with doubts and fears generated by the gestapo-like tactics of the WT, not to mention the economy in general.

Also, I think that most witnesses must at least have heard rumors of the child abuse scandals.

We are 25 years past the last false prophesy of Armageddon. I've been out for a long time and have not been interested enough to know what other false prophecies they have engaged in.

This might just be a favorable time to take a shot at the fox in the hen house. The wolf in sheep's clothing.

There are a lot of people here who are well armed to really present some 'Truth' to the poor people who are still held prisoner. A well written, non-threatening letter to everyone we know might just be the best Christmas present we could give.

Hey, I'm just offering some ideas here which the original person asked for. I'm not saying to do it, I'm not saying I or anyone I know has done it, I'm just throwing them out.

Besides, if I should be banned for being a depraved jerk it should be for any number of things I've said regarding my (Jesus Christ) sexual adventures. Now those are really depraved!!!! Come on now Lefty, if you're calling for me to be crucified for my ideas (gee, that's never happened before ) at least make sure you do it for something that actually is depraved and not just some dorky vandelism ideas.
