Do You Tend To Be Condescending???

  Humility is such a beautiful thing because it tends to be so rare when it's genuine. I'm not talking about the people you compliment who say "oh no! Not me!...But you were saying? Go on!"

  There will always be someone out there who is "better" than you. There is always so much more to learn. It's not even about being humble really as I think about. It's about being able to see those we are "talking down to" as human, and not objectifying their self-worth.

  Sadly I have known far too many "experts" in my short time on this planent, and not enough of the "helpers/partners".

  Some highly regarded posters seem to be condescending if theit view is not accepted by any that might differ with them. It could be that they think that they are still in "the Christian congregation". Some were self-righteous dinks when they were Witneses and continued to be self-righteous dinks after they left.

  When I was a JW I was a right little so-and-so towards those I thought were below me, but as I matured in age and started to drift away from Borg mentality, I evened out.

  So Prisca, the more mature you are, the less condescending you would be. That makes sense. I guess there are a few that just didn't get to their maturity level yet.
