There are many here (and not here anymore) who have been there for me, offered encouragement, support, etc. The ONE person who has been the most help to me, online and in real life, is my sister Tracy (aka Think41self). We've gone thru the 'wars' together....from before we actually left until now. Child abuse, marital problems, the loss of our faith, divorce, kid problems, relationship stuff, work, school...you name it, we've been there through thick and thin with and for each other.

There are others here and in real life who have impacted me greatly...taught me things about myself I don't know that I would have learned any other way. I've laughed, I've cried, I've hurt, I've experienced great joy....I've made some friendships here that I hope will last forever. I've tried to leave this place several times, but find myself returning. Bottom line for me is that no matter how many friends I have offline, there is no way that they can fully understand the impact being a JW had on me. Only here have I found that understanding. Funny isn't it? You can talk all day long to someone who never was a dub, and still feel like they just don't get it...you can meet someone from here and immediately there's that KNOWING that they not only 'get it', they're living it too! No need for long explanations, it's just there.

Thanks for saying that about my ex. He and I are still the best of friends--we were married for 8 years. And I KNOW beyond a shadow of a doubt that I would never have gotten out of the borg without him--so he's very precious in my eyes.

It's taken me a long time to give myself credit--and it's still hard to do sometimes. I tend to beat myself up for the years of LIVING that I lost while being a jw, but the fact is I'm out now! Needless to say, I'm still trying to catch up!

When I was firt leaving the JW religion, a lot of what Farkel, AlanF, JanH and quit a few others helped me to see that I wasn't crazy. That i was right in believing it was a cult.

So many others here help me grow at a personal level. I have such a low self esteem and you have lifted that quit a bit.............LB, petty/Rhonda, Comf, Farkel, Heaven, XW, xena, BG, MrMoe, TR, DannyBear/(I have a special place for you in my heart. You are like the father I wish mine had been while growing up. Don't get me wrong, he and I get along great now but while growing up, he let my step mother decide our relationship. He and my mother have been back together for over 19 years now.) Guest77, Titania, who I miss and wish she had a computer again.( maybe we could all get a donation going for that?) Cassi, Matty, Robdar, Tina. I could go on forever but I'm 40 now and my mind is slipping so forgive me if I forgot to list you here.

Farkel, you made my list twice so you now you're special to me. And don't you forget it!
