The scratches very well could have just started, it may have been coincidental to the time that you began tarot stuff.
It's linking the scratches to the tarot that needs to be properly investigated before freaking out and strategizing your attack against invisible forces. Like RT's example expressed, you might be quick to link it to the tarot because that's whuts on your mind.

It's your choice though. If you enjoy the sensation of worrying about it, and letting your family worry about it, and perhaps want some practise at planning your reaction to spirit forces you can by all means assumethat the scratching is linked with the tarot and maybe visitors from another invisible realm. In which case, I would recommend not doing the process of elimination thing and running with that.

    But u know dat, right?

Personally, i like a sound sleep. I say, call in an exterminator. Investigate your questions about the spirit realm, after a good nights rest. :)

Gang, you have given me food for thought (personally I could use less food for eating, but that's a different thread....)

Rodents in the walls would make sense with the colder weather. And the fact my wife and I were discussing some of the weird things that have gone on where she works, along with the starting of the Tarot lessons, would put me in that frame of mind, I agree. Hangover from my JW days too.

But I figure forewarned is forearmed. And the lights didn't flicker when this happeded (the second time, anyway).

If it keeps up I'll get an exterminator. If that doesn't do it I'll get a priest. And if anyone's heads here start spinning like Linda Blair's in The Exorcist, I'm gettin' outta Dodge!

You've been foolish enough to allow demonic influences into your life, and now you must suffer these three things:

The Satanic squirrels in your walls. A little known denizen of a well-hidden branch of Freemasonry, these small and furry woodland creatures worship only the Light-bringer in the form of Cernunnos, sacrificing acorns in choregraphed nail sharpening rituals, preferably at the hours of human rest.

The Demonic Electrician in your circuit Box. An Unholy Union being, he only disrupts electronic flow during crucial moments, so that his demonic Management, with whom he is often in conflict, can revel in your frustration.

And the Poltergeist Remote Control for your TV. Universally Incompatible with all lifestyles. Particularly effective during football games.

What can you do? Preach to them. As Jehovah's Witnesses have found out, talking watchtower gobbledygook can drive away even the most determined and malevolent demons.

ps. Refiner's why do you make such a blanket statement?

KingPawn, time to heed the wise counsel of Paranoians 6:66 "Sometimes the rope lying in th road ahead can be mistaken for a snake and result in undue distress.Chill out, be reasonable."

Also Metaphysicians 3:1-4, "It doesn't happen often, but both small birds and rodents are very capable of clear speech in many human languages. Voices in the darkness come from such frisky critters as these, and not from Donald Pleasance hiding in the shrubbery next door. Both are also generally known to be able to create the illusion of disembodied eyes floating in space. Demons can do none of these things. When in trouble, fear or doubt, run in circles, scream and shout. Always go for the least plausible explanation for any event. This, dear ones, if far better than late-night TV."

I have found that ever since I awoke this morning, things have seemed much brighter and louder than they were when I was asleep. Has anyone else found this to be the case?

    Kingpawn,

It sounds like a couple of things to me. First, it is winter and little animals will be trying to get into your house. Try to find out where they may be hiding. The second thing, with the tv shutting off, sounds like a release of psychic energy and nothing to be concerned about. However, if things start moving about on their own, let's say the toilet seats start slamming down and items start sliding across your coffee table on what appears to be their own accord, it could be something else. Email me if that happens.

    I hope the above helps.

    Love,

    Robyn

It would be cool if you could use magic to control these things, and get your back scratched instead of the walls, and get the TV to record programs when you aren't home.

    Well, you did ask....

Be very, very careful what you invite into your life. There is a dark side. Most of Wicca is harmless, but still, if one has powers they do not fully understand, the darkness can come through these individuals.

Keep a journal of your experiences. I will share an experience I had years ago, actually about 31 years ago. My husband was into Black Sabbath. Being an active JW, I never played his records, nor did I touch them. If he played them, it was his business. One evening, we had a disagreement about something and he went out to party and do dope with friends.

When he came home, it was in the wee hours of the morning, and he woke me up ranting and raving. Seems "something" had destroyed our stereo system and his collection of Black Sabbath records were gone. Since I was alone all evening with our baby, there was no "human" that could have done that, or taken his records. We were the only residents there, besides our year old son. This frightened me and that night when we finally went to sleep--both of us were trying to explain to ourselves what had happened to his "stuff". Tried to figure out something that would make sense. We could not. That's when we began to hear a scratching in the walls that night, and that's when I began to sleep with the bible under my pillow. That's when our son kept waking up all hours of the night and crying, which wasn't normal. Other things began to happen as well.

A couple days later, out son was in his playpen in the LR and he began giggling and I came from the kitchen to see why he was so happy, and I "saw him being lifted out of the playpen and onto the floor, flipping end over end onto the floor IN SLOW MOTION". We were totally alone in the apartment, and I freaked and grabbed him and stayed with a neighbor until my husband came home from work. When he got home that night and we had a very deep discussion about "things" going on and how I determined that there were "demons" in our home, and that "his" choice of music had brought them there.

Then he told me something that he'd been doing which I hadn't known about. He and his buddies had been going to this old house, where there was a small secret door from the kitchen into a room with no windows that was painted black. He said the renters giving the parties claimed to be witches and warlocks and lit candles and did these chants and that he didn't pay attention too much because he was so high. But, he said that something happened that he could never tell me about and he told me that he was frightened to death of what he'd gotten himself into. I figured it was just kids playing at "games" and chanting and stuff.

Anyway, the bottom line is, don't play with fire, or you might get burned. Be very careful that's all. Not everything is as it appears. Our marriage dissentegrated quickly after that event and we separated for a year leaving that old house in the country. Many years later when I went back to check out the old place, it had burned to the ground---mysteriously, so the neighbor recalled.
