Was Hellagood. Has anybody else seen it?

I'm waiting until Xmas holiday so I can get some time off to see it. I've heard mixed reviews though. I take it you liked it?
The even numbered movies are supposed to be the good ones. Hope it holds true this time!
Nope, not yet. Been a lifelong Star Trek fan myself. When I started into the Lip Reading age in pre-school, Star Trek is what I had mostly practiced lip reading before Closed Caption came out. I fell in love with Star Trek and anything Sci Fi since.
Gonna try one day and if not, there's always DVD.

I did enjoy the movie. The special fx are good. It's a re-write of 2 previous scripts, though.

saw it, midnight showing last night. liked it a lot, but i need to see it when i am more awake. im tired!
I thought it was ok, but I think the extreme ammount of pain sitting in the seat, kind of detracted from it.

Ouch!
I feel your pain, TH. I ripped my abdominal stitches (an inch worth) getting out of the theatre seat.

I just saw it a couple hours ago. I found it disappointing. There were no glaring problems, it was just too predictable and recycled. Well, the whole Kolarus III scene was stupid. Why would starfleet need a SUV like that when you have a perfectly good shuttlecraft that will go anywhere you need to go, at a much better speed. Dumb. Oh yeah, lets not worry about the natives seeing a bunch of aliens take off in a flying ship. Prime Directi-huh?
They could have spent a little more time explaining how one guy goes from downtrodden slave to leader of the Romulan Empire. hmm.
Then the long drawn out part where they first arrive at Romulus, the guy wants to chit-chat, wants Picard to like him, even his underlings are complaining, quit talking, let's just start fighting.
Data. B4. good grief.
Star Trek needs new writers badly.
All in all it was a good movie...
However, I was very disappointed that they killed off a primary character. What bugs me even more is the fact that this primary character has appeared in the "future" in other episodes.
You'd think they would keep things like that straight.
