Actually, I should answer this properly.
Why do I do it?
Well, I remember what it's like leaving the WTS and loosing practically all friends and family and feeling very alone. At the time, the forums available were either very pro-Witness where you could not discuss things or else were real battlegronuds and not really geared up for social stuff. I thought somewhere a bit in the middle would be useful.
I do get emails from people who say the site has helped them and this really does make it all worthwhile. The recent post by CHEVYNSTATS about finding their long lost friend is another example of the sort of thing where is does positive things and there are others too.
Yes, it's hard work ... I typically spend a couple of hours in the morning and a couple at night or more and it costs money too even though some people kindly send donations which helps to take the edge off the expense.
I must admit too that I am a techie and their is a certain pride in running a busy site and 'building something' but it isn't really the main reason.
While it's still helping people then I hope I will be able to continue it and will continue to stop anyone trying to ruin it, however difficult this can be at times.
