Jesika - I have been eagerly waiting for the next installment too. The previews on the DVD of Fellowship look awesome. Actually the Two Towers is my favorite installment in the series - so again I am really looking forward to seeing the movie.
Unfortunately I will probably have to wait until this weekend.

Has anybody seen the new James Bond Die Another Day?
I liked the beginning then about halfway through I started HATING IT!!! Someone should blow Hally Selassie, I mean, Berry, UP! She was hopeless..........and the story/plot whatever never got established properly then completely disappeared when all the explosions started happening.
Very disappointing. My 16 YO son liked it though......
Anyone agree with me or do I now face death by flaming?

I saw it last night. It's fantastic! Andy Serkis is excellent as Gollum, and the battle for Helm's Deep is spectacular. GO AND SEE IT NOW!

I let my 16 year old go to the midnight showing at the local theatre, too! Despite her having exams the following day! She actually had to TAKE one exam -- the later one -- 10 AM, so I am not totally crazy! However, we kept her visit to Legolas a secret from her daddy who WOULD think I'm insane!
She is an absolute LOTR fanatic and has seen the first movie something like 18 times and is just wanting to read the trilogy over again. Her friend works at the theatre and got her in for the showing AND, even better, the manager gave her the celluloid trailer for The Two Towers.
Like Jesika she LOVED the movie and saw it again the next afternoon. LOL.
The movie critic from The Detroit Free Press gave it four stars -- something he rarely does, it's been more than a decade -- and said that Gollum will win an Oscar for the Best Computer-Generated Character, too. He also advised seeing the first movie again before heading out to the second for continuity's sake.
I hope to see it over the holidays!

Can't afford to see the movie as I would love to go and see it, but I do love reading your posts
But on the other hand, since they never caption the movies at the theaters, I will have to wait until it comes out on DVD. But it won't be the same as the theater experience. Sometimes I'll have a interpretor friend sign to me what they are saying or I like this alot, have a friend bring two laptop computers and she can type what they're saying on the screen while I eye the screen at the same time. Ah, the luxery isn't always available.
My only beef is that most of the battle scenes are shot in "Waynes World" EXTREME CLOSEUP!!! But otherwise the movie was awesome and was even better than the first one which was good.
My son went to see it again yesterday and I haven't seen it once
