I have been trying to think of a way for me to consistently receive copies of the Watchtower and Awake without having to give my money to the WTS.

    I'm stumped.

I can't go the KH to get them because they will not keep giving you stuff if you don't pay, errr, make donations.

I can't get on a magazine route because the JWs will get tired of me not being interested in talking or making payments, err, donations. I have also noticed that JWs are not very consistent in their magazine routs. I dont think I ever kept going to the same house on a route for more than a few months. There is also the problem with my not being at home much to accept the magazines.

    Any ideas?

They are rather cheap in distributing magazines. Years ago, we left tons of literature and put them in the mailboxes when people were absent. The only time I can put a hand on a Watchtower, is if an elder once a year stops by. Not that I am interested reading their crap, but I would like to know what new light they found now and then. Years ago, people received the watchtower and awake through the mail, but no more since about 12 years. If you go on their site, you don't get what you want neither. I guess that's their way of forcing people back, by spiritual starvation.

Else, you can get them from the hall for free - I did it for years :) Just don't drop any $$ in the box. They won't like it, but they can't say anything about it.

The downside is that you would actually have to attend the meetings <bleeech>

And you want these horribly misleading, consistently dishonest, selfishly manipulative, potentially harmful, faith destructive, compilations of obvious BS why? If you're into that sort of thing you should be willing to pay for it. Or maybe I'm just biased.

If you want these things to better equip yourself to help others, I wish I had an answer for you.

I find the mags in laundromats all the time. I write the silentlambs, freeminds and JWD web address on the front, along with 1-800-WHY-1914 and 1-877-WTABUSE and put them in a more prominent spot where sheeplike ones might go to fold their laundry.

Thank you for your interest in keeping up with "new light" and "setting a good example" for the rest of us evil apostates.

    Love you, man!

How about picking it up at the local KH and giving a 2 cent donation?

Hmmm... maybe I'll stop by the KH just when the meeting is ending and donate some "play" money I can get at walmart for $0.99.

Um, isn't there a box on the back of the Watchtower asking if you would like a free subscription??? Just phone Bethel, give them your name and your WORK address, and tell them that you want a subscription sent.........don't let them know you're a JW though.....just tell them that your "interested".........
