What Drives You Crazy???

All y'all who replied about telemarketers, well sorry but you only have yourselves to blame. Unless my purchase is being delivered, I don't give out my address and phone number to any store whatsoever.

Guess it's a lifestyle issue, then. I almost never buy anything at Radio Shack, so the opportunity to actually give my name and address to a store arises rarely. But I do hold some major credit cards, I shop over the Internet (particularly amazon.com, but other sites as well), I subscribe to a number of magazines, and I occasionally join book, music or DVD clubs. I'm also a Netflix member, and I both buy and sell on eBay from time to time. And, I think that there should be a way for me to do all of those things without being pestered several times a day by telemarketers.

I'm seriously considering starting to ask all telemarketers for a mailing address, and sending them a certified letter stating that any future calls made to my number would be billed to them at the rate of $500 per call for my time. If they continue to call and don't pay, I'd sue. In some places, such cases have been won by the consumer. The main thing restraining me from doing it is the time involved. But one of these days I may get mad enough to carry it out...

Regarding telemarketers, when they ask if Mr. Minimus is there, I ask, "who is calling?". They repeat . I repeat. This goes on for a while until one of us hangs up.
