    Englishman,

: If sex didn't feel good we would probably forget to do it.

    Did you know my ex-wife?

    Heathen,

Friday- just curious here , did you wait til marriage to have sex? I mean the concept of loving someone til death do us part is foreign to me .

Well, Heathen, that's quite an intimate and personal question that you've asked. But, the answer is both yes and no, depending on how different persons choose to view it. Insofar as having a piece of paper to show that we were married at the time, such a "license" didn't exist. But since, in my estimation, such so-called "legal" document isn't in and of itself the only criteria for determining that a marriage has taken place, we were indeed married in the more important sense that we had promised to each other that we would remain together for the rest of our lives. Of course, at the time, I had little knowledge of the Bible much less any confidence in what it might have to say on such matters. Even now though I would see nothing essentially wrong with going about it the same way if I had it to do all over again. A "legal" document, although it ONLY shows that one is legally married, just the same is an important piece of paper in todays world and should be obtained, so don't get me wrong. But, the truth is that such a document isn't really what determines a "marriage" between two people. What does that, is the two person's mutual agreement to be true to one another for all of life's duration.

Hey! You guys are getting too serious and off-track here! I was just talking about a simple boinking! Marriage, commitment and children are an entirely different matter.

To the guy across the pond,

Oh so wrong! God made it an extremely pleasurable activity so that every one would want to do it so that human reproduction would be guaranteed!

The very fact that MILLIONS of people adopt children because they can't have children of their own shoots a hole in your theory. Even homosexuals (who can't have children of their own, obviously) have desired to adopt children.

    a simple boinking!

But, you can't guarantee that a "simple boinking" won't result in an unwanted pregnancy. That's why the makers of condoms offer no guarantee with their product. :)

Nope, I can't. Then again, I can't guarantee someone won't choke to death on their next bite of food, either. Such is life. Everything has a risk, and that includes devoting one's life to worshipping a mute God.

The person who gets careless in his eating habits and winds up choking himself to death, has affected himself alone. On the other hand, the person responsible for causing an unwanted pregnancy affects an additional person, namely the child brought into existence ... which really wasn't wanted to begin with, and which is not only unfair to the child but reflects a disrespect for the sacredness (value) of life. Which reminds me (although I don't know how so), I have yet to download your music. Must go do that now. Toodle de doo. Or is it doodle da too?
