Scootergirl, you have been just amazing with all you have done on behalf of the secret santa gift exchange. You proved what being a real christain is really all about. For years I wondered what having Christamas would be like, and I am sure many of us here , this is our first year to celebrate it. I dont know for sure about all the religious parts of Xmas but I do understand the joy of sharing and caring thanks to you , Scootergirl. We each got to get a name of someone we only know over the lines of this internet world, but after the gifts were in hand, we gave a little piece of ourselves to someone by the present we gave them, and in turn we got so much morefrom them.We have now , a certain connection with the one we gave a gift to and a certain connection to the one who gave us a gift. It is of course not the gift or material thing we got, but the thoughtfulness in the gift, in the box, in the bows, that made us feel loved.
Today is my birthday and my dad didnt call , like he usually does, even as JW he would call and say, hey gal, you are almost as old as I am. No call today, feel a little sad, but the wonderful people here have made me feel like I have family , family that will not leave me for my personal beliefs.
By you doing the Secret Santa exchange Scooter you helped us to see that we are family here and we are friends. You made alot of lonely people a lot less lonely and put smiles on their faces.
Even those who did not participate in the gift exchange no doubt enjoyed the talk of those who were so happy to be part of it. Especially those of us who have never had a Xmas, it was a wonderful way to get started , and we owe it to you Scooter for showing us how to do it....
Thanks Scootergirl for all your hard work and for making us all a little happier , making us feel alot more like "normal " non jw's.......... hugsssss to you and your partner who helped you so much, Eyegirl,,,,,,,, you both are just wonderful and loved so much..................From All of Us
