taking the kids out was also good....even if they were not naughty. They preferred it and you could go to the parents room and put your feet up.

To keep myself awake I would volunteer to run the soundbox. In our hall it was in a completely seperate room with a view of the stage. I would turn on all the mics and leave them on and go to sleep.
