    ((((Adriene)))):

So sorry for your loss. Grandma's are really special people. Grieving is normal and emotionally and physically necessary. In time, the grief will not have such a grip over you. I'm sure she knew that you loved her dearly, as she did you. Allow the grieving process to run its course. In due time, you will feel better.

Adrienne-My deepest sympathy... But I believe she now has the promise -No Pain -no suffering. I do hope you have those good memories to hang on to. Good advice was given -get rest , eat! & know that many here are praying for you. & those who dont pray are thinking of you with LOVE all of us...

I am so sorry Asortafairytale, for your great lose. I was close to my grandmother too, and I was one of the last ones to see her before she died. She was sick just like your grandmother and had fought for years ,,,,, she was tired and was ready to go .. she believed in going to heaven to join my grandpa who passed many years before. It was comforting to know she was ready to go,,,, although she said she knew she would be missed and didnt want to really leave everyone. But she just accepted her body wasnt letting her do what she wanted to do.

I am glad you got to have a few moments alone with her after she died., I don't know if the soul is still there for awhile or if it does go to heaven. But I am glad you got to say goodbye in that way at least.

I wanted to add this song for you ............ it reminds me of my grandmother's life and death so much.......... hope you like it....... it is sung by the country music artist Mark Chestnut.

Written by Rhett Atkins and Kenneth Lamb.
    ( Rhettneck Music/I Give Music/W.B. Music Corporation/Warner Chappell Music.)
From "Mark Chesnutt", 2002, Columbia Records.

She started her new life ten dollars in debt,
That's all it took to get started back then.
A trip to the courthouse across the state line,
    No-one could stop her,
    She'd made up her mind.
    He was eighteen, an she wasn't;

      But she said she was,
      And never thought twice.
And came back home as my daddy's wife.
She just shook her head when her mama said:
"Are you sure he's the one?"
      An' she was.

    He took a job and farmed on the side;
He made the ends meet, but she kept 'em tied.
Chganges were comin' to their little world,
She said: "What would you like?
    "A boy or a girl?"
    And he said: "Are you?"

      An' she said she was,
      And never thought twice.
'Bout takin' the next step in building their lives.
Soon there were three and she tried to be,
      Everything to us,
      An' she was.

Those precious moments turned into years,
In what seemed like the blink of an eye.
I held her hand as I leaned down to ask her,
"Momma, are you ready to say goodbye?"

      An' she said she was,
      But she thought twice,
Holdin' my hand as she let go of life.
Daddy always said a woman like her,
Would be hard to give up.
      An' she was. (She was.)

If there ever was a picture of love,
    She was.
