Yipeeee girl! Since all the odds indicate that 3 out of 5 new business fails with in 5 yrs. You are well on your way to beating the trend
Shhh, don't jinks me, Danny. I've only been in business for two years.
Beenthere, that's all I seem to be able to do when I get home. Sit and read the forums. I'm taking this weekend off from my weekend job(still scared to give it up) and am going to get things done around here that i've been to tired to do.
Shari,
I just celebrated ten years in business for myself. It's hard work, but satisfying. I'll bet you feel the same.
As for that french maid's uniform... That was an understatement when I said "kinda cute".

WOOHOOO !!! WELL DONE!!!!
Your positive attitude and persistance pays off !!! Way to go!! And you are right- cleaning homes is hard work and you deserve all the pats on the back you get! (along with lots of money!!)
Now, on to the next thing-
much success to you!!!
XW
Lilacs, don't change the name. A business does not depend on a cute name. It depends of the quality of the business. You said on your first post to me that your put in your foot in your mouth. Well, I don't remember it, which means it didn't happen. By the way, I bet you have a pretty cute foot.
Congratulations, Shari! You are a successful businesswoman.
I believe you're on the right track with wanting to hire people to do the cleaning. As long as you're the one doing it, you can't expand beyond what you personally have time to do. The bigger income is going to come with expanding your resources. One tip, born of experience: get bonded, and keep in regular contact with your customers to make sure they're happy. And screen your help closely. We had an employee... a JW sister, mind you... who not only helped herself to stuff in the offices that she thought they should throw away, but started calling our customers and dealing with them as though she was the one in charge.
You're going to do just fine, hon. You've got spirit, and smarts.

LOL Danny, that reminded me of...........best little W**** house in Texas.
Larc, good, it never happened.
Comf,
I made sure to get bonded and insured from day one. I was told that unless I have employees I really didn't need to be bonded but you never can be to careful.
XW, I really want that vacation. The only bad thing is, I would probably sleep through most of it. I'M TIRED. lmao
Lilacs,
Congradulations!!!
jurs
Congratulations!
You're an inspiration, keep it up and soon you WILL be sending out employees to do the dirty work. It feels great, keep it up.
