and going to the bathroom and not washing their hands, my..my... we could go on and on here...... Let's just say the Kingdom Hall is a very unsanitary place! Gonna go wash my hands now.

Mrs. Shakita, I know of Witnesses that are ALWAYS sick. Literally, EVERYTIME they go into the Hall, the get ill.

I was honest with them and told them that I did not believe what they taught... next thing I know they are threatening to DF me. I didn't want to give them the pleasure so I DAed myself before they could.
What does honesty earn you in the WTS? Rejection and shunning by your friends of 25 years and three generations of family.
I pulled no punches, I did not lie, and I did not play any games with them. I was open and honest with them, and that is how they treated me.

I was never asked by an elder. Ever. Not a big thing. When I was attending I did a decent enough job. When I stopped attending there was very little transistion. I've always been pretty upfront and outspoken and our thought is they really didn't want to know why.
Now other witnesses asked why I'm not attending a few time. One of my answers was Are you sure you want to know? My reasons may stumble you. No one ever asked me my reasons after that.

LB, I like that!!! If they REALLLY want to know......you'll be honest. That shows that they don't want to hear the truth, doesn't it?

I just said God got my periods backwards.. that I stopped bleeding 3 days a month. Did they *have any QUESTIONS??* <grin>

Growing up in dubdom....I realized that no effort was ever good enough,always fustrated, dissapointed in myself and others..... so at some point I just stopped trying to be what JW's wanted me to be.....and I attained peace.........rocky220 [from the good to have peace of mind class]

Allergies caused constant sinus/bronchial/pneumonia/ear infections. I was sick all the time. Now that we are in the dry climate of Arizona I have none of that. It sure helped keep me from the meetings back in Wisconsin, though.
