i love the 80's music, bruce, billy joel and bob seager, and all that good stuff. I really love Meat Loaf, and have seen him in concert 2x and got my pic taken with him in st louis.I'm a big fan of Janis joplin, and have always been.Meat Loafs writer, jim Steinman, has written and produced for other people, including andrew lloyd webber(dance of the vampires in germany-just opened in USA) also, bonnie tyler. My music taste is very varied, i also enjoy the old country music, hank williams and hank jr. and whaylon willie and david allen coe. jerry feff walker(texas outlaws form the 70")I have always loved spiritual music, esp as sung by tennesse ernie ford. I can't name any new groups that are current-but i do some music like on VH1 . I hardly ever watch MTV anmore, it has become mostly hip hop and gangster music, and don't like any of that.Of course i am an die hard beatle and stones fan- i love the music form Les Meserebls, and Phantom of the opera, and others.edited to add, yes Blondie, the music form "oh brother were aret thu" is very good, I esp like the rock the baby song. even my kids loved that music.
I do not like Barry manalow. I think most country music now is very boring, Where is the music that old geroge jones sang? now that has character.
however, i will make an exception with a group called "confederate railroad" "I like may women a little on the trashy side" next to david allen coe's "if that anint't country" and "u don't ever call me darling" it is a very funny country song.
