It's too bad.
Only 53. Young.
I am a Bee Gees fan.
I've got a few of their albums, cassettes and cds.
Yes they had a unique style.
That's what made them stand out.

Very Sad. I grew up listening to the Bee Gees. He was sooo young, too.
It just goes to show you, you never know when your time is up.

Even non-JWs when young tend to think of themselves as immortal. So many people are dying around my age, it makes me think even more about what I am doing with the time I think I have. I have several BeeGee albums that I still play.
I started a joke, which started the whole world crying,
but I didn't see that the joke was on me, oh no.
I started to cry, which started the whole world laughing,
oh, if I'd only seen that the joke was on me.
I looked at the skies, running my hands over my eyes,
and I fell out of bed, hurting my head from things that I'd said.
Til I finally died, which started the whole world living,
oh, if I'd only seen that the joke was on me.
I looked at the skies, running my hands over my eyes,
and I fell out of bed, hurting my head from things that I'd said.
'Til I finally died, which started the whole world living,
oh, if I'd only seen that the joke was one me.
If ever you got rain in your heart,
someone has hurt you, and torn you apart,
am I unwise to open up your eyes to love me?
And let it be like they said it would be -
me loving you girl, and you loving me.
Am I unwise to open up your eyes to love me?
Run to me whenever you're lonely. (to love me)
Run to me if you need a shoulder
Now and then, you need someone older,
so darling, you run to me.
And when you're out in the cold,
no one beside you, and no one to hold,
am I unwise to open up your eyes to love me?
And when you've got nothing to lose,
nothing to pay for, nothing to choose,
am I unwise to open up your eyes to love me
Run to me whenever you're lonely. (to love me)
Run to me if you need a shoulder
Now and then you need someone older,
so darling, you run to me.

Well he definitely contributed. The Bee Gees were part of the British Invasion of the 60's and helped create the disco phenomenon of the 70's. It's a shame.
Sad, I liked the Bee Gees myself.
53 ,still too young to die.
RF,
I hated BeeGees music. They sounded like a bunch of Eunuchs.
Hey you grumpy old fashioned sombitch bastard! They were good! Hell your older than me......don't you remember the stuff they sang BEFORE they sounded like eunuchs? That was a LATER sound and I didn't like it either.
All their old stuff was good." I started a joke, Massechusetts, holiday, New York mining disaster, to love somebody".
Not much was said about Maurice's vocal contributions as he sang with Robin and Barry in most all their stuff. They can make it without him as he was the least noticed.
Thanks for this Pris.
Such a sad day. From a fan of not only their immense talent, but also their spirit of survival.
That is so sad. I loved the Bee Gees, and feel for the brothers who have lost another of their siblings. Their youngest brother, Andy, died too young many years ago.
