You are right. They don't give up until they THINK they have ruined your life. Problem is, they haven't. Life does go on, and for the better. It is those who are still in who I feel sorry for. They are being manipulated and brainwashed to the point where they think it is God's will that they destroy people and families.
They are all a bunch of loser salesmen.
Hope you "enjoy" your time here on the board.

They told me to either come to every meeting for a month, or they would DA me, so I missed the next meeting and they anounced that I was DA'd
Can't a person fall sick and miss a meeting?
If this happens to anyone else, tell them that you were sick and missed the meeting.

If they found it so important after 20years to DA you and then had the nevre to tell the congregation where you live and work, I would write the local newspaper and say that you recently moved to this state and was once associated with JW's. in another state when you were younger. You decided to go to a meeting and was attacked verbally by Elders so and so who works for so and so and lives at such and such and immediately dismissed me from the church just because I asked him if gluttony was a sin when he asked me if I smoked. Certainly being new to this state and area how does this Elder so and so pronounce judgement upon me when I find out the following week I am excommunicated from the church. Doesn't this show how the public have felt for year and years about JW's they are indeed a mind controlling cult and if you don't want to conform to their teachings you are indeed not wanted in the congregations to the point where they invade your personal life. And then see if that doesn't perk up some of the ears of the community and the elders in the congregations...
Well this is just a thought.
